The Jennings-Jaggi Constitutional Carry Bill passed the House on Final reading this morning, 49-9!

Give yourself a pat on the back. Without your dedication - and committed action - this freedom-expanding bill would not have passed.

Your letters, post cards, e-mails, and phone calls were what made the difference.

Gun owners in Wyoming - and across the country - owe thanks to the courageous efforts of Representative Alan Jaggi (R - Lyman) and Senator Kit Jennings (R - Casper), the sponsors of the Constitutional Carry Bill. As well as the hard work of issue champions like Representative Lorraine Quarberg (R - Thermopolis). They stood up to pressure from the anti-gun lobby and members of both parties to push this historic legislation through the Wyoming legislature.

The bill must navigate the final stages of the bureaucratic process before it reaches Governor Matt Mead’s desk to await his signature.

Rest assured, I’ll keep you informed about Governor Mead’s intentions concerning the Jaggi-Jennings Constitutional Carry Bill.

Thank you for your dedicated activism. This victory is truly a victory for Wyoming’s grassroots activists. Sincerely,

Anthony Bouchard Executive Director WyGO - Wyoming Gun Owners

I hope the governor signs the bill into law. One question, will constitutional carry apply only to citizens of Wyoming or to all persons, including visiting residents of other states? Yellowstone Park is my favorite place on earth and I visit as often as I can.

I believe that their is long standing precedent the such bills would apply to all people in the state.

Thanks, that’s good to hear. It is encouraging that so many states are considering the issue. Hopefully it will help discourage liberals from moving to these states. I hear Colorado is considering it as well.

Actually, the legislation that obama signed into law makes federal parks policy on firearms consistant with that of the state in which it is located. You can now open carry in Yellowstone, as you can in the rest of Wyoming, and concealed carry there if you have a CC permit recognized by that state.

He’ll sign it. It was passed by a veto-proof margin. It would make WY the fourth state to adopt constitutional carry.

“He’ll sign it. It was passed by a veto-proof margin. It would make WY the fourth state to adopt constitutional carry.”

Then New Hampshire and South Carolina had better get on the ball if they want to be fourth!
