You dislike the Revolutionary War soldier who publicly defended the Constitution in a critical state?

Ratification was a close run thing. Would it have been better, in your opinion, if the Constitution had not been ratified?

Yes I do! Intensely! You should also know that many of his contemporaries held opinions similar to mine and it is entirely possible that the ramblings of Mr. Hamilton made the vote for ratification in that state closer than it otherwise would have been simply because of that fact.

Ratification was a close run thing. Would it have been better, in your opinion, if the Constitution had not been ratified?

I never said that nor will I ever although I will admit that had I been alive at the time, and elected to attend the convention in Philadelphia, I probably would have been among those who left rather than participate in a convention that chose to do something other than what they had been sent there to do.
