50 years later, new data surfaces about Eichmann trial

The prosecuting attorney in the trial of Adolf Eichmann, retired Supreme Court justice Gabriel Bach, said on Monday that a psychiatric evaluation conducted on the Nazi leader following his capture in 1960 suggested that the man responsible for the deaths of millions during the Holocaust had ambivalent sexual tendencies.

Normally, it would be a non-issue. In the case of the nazis, a concerted effort has been made by the left since WWII to portray nazis as right-wing corporate evangelicals when in fact, the top nazis were far-left, socialist, occultic, cross dressing, leather bar bi-sexuals.

Could mean he had NO sex drive for anything boy girl, billy goat or whatever.

He did have a wife and children. During the nazi years, he had mistresses. So, he had some history sex drive. At the time of his capture, he was in his 50's and based on his year of birth, he was near the end of his life expectancy. His age combined with 15 years in hiding, combined with the stress (and depression) of being captured and held by the Israelis could understandably have eliminated any sex drive.

I don't think that is what the psychiatrists were trying to say.

Don’t mistake Eichmann for a monster, he was the mediocrity of evil, a mechanical bureaucrat, a guiltless automaton. Which is why government must be watched constantly.

Reminds me of that quote about "the banality of evil" (I've forgotten by whom). Quite appropriate in the case of Eichmann...
