Fox News has learned former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will make a major announcement about his presidential aspirations in Atlanta on Thursday.
Washington sources close to the looming Gingrich campaign tell Fox News they have been told to be ready to travel to Atlanta Thursday when Gingrich will make an announcement about forming a presidential exploratory committee.
All signs point to Gingrich officially entering the 2012 race and these sources believe that Newt will throw his hat into the ring on Thursday by announcing that he has completed the proper paperwork to form an explanatory committee.

No newts is good newts...
You can’t make this stuff up.
Just say no.
Is it too much to hope that he will announce he is switching parties?
He’s going to reupholster the couch?
I like Newt..though he isn’t my first choice. However, I do think he has one “problem” that hasn’t been addressed as yet. His wife, Calista. I’m not talking about the divorces. That’s old hat..people have already decided how they feel about it..it won’t change any minds..but his present wife...she comes across as well, a cold fish...she hasn’t been out in public much, but I think she will have a likeability problem with female voters...look what the MSM was able to do to Palin in 2008...just my 2 cents
His Lap Dog is Dick Morris.
There is no one in the race yet. Nobody has officially announced yet, and he is not someone that I would ever support.
Will he announce from infront of the Capitol while sitting on a couch?

He has still has some 'splainin' to do about that couch session with Pelosi.
Don’t get upset. Newt isn’t jumping in to win. (because he can’t). He’s jumping in to keep his name recoginion high so he can sell more books, and maintain high speaking fee’s and continue being Hannity’s good buddy.
Sorry, Newt, you don’t have what it takes.
Why don’t you try turning away from your RINO ways first?
he’s marrying a man?
Please NO he can’t beat Obama.
The suspense is killing me!
Even if he does win the GOP nomination, the media will skewer him and he will not get as many Electoral votes as McCain.
He has enough baggage to keep the media salivating for months.
I dont want him to win but I would love to hear the debates- he is excellent at showing liberal stupidity in government
But there is no way I will vote for him after the Scuzzyfava fiasco in NY, among other things.
He’s still heads above any democrat, even the one currently taking up space in the WH.
Two absolute non-starters: Mitt and Newt. After that, I might listen.
I think I heard Newt speak (maybe it was CPAC) and his spiel seems to be: current big bureaucracies are bad; here is my new re-vamped and more efficient big bureaucracy.
He is a wonk and I think he actually believes that you can have government efficiently run things; but, that just doesn’t work. They will always grow and become entrenched and corrupt.
He has a ton of explaining to do, including his last big public appearance, campaigning for Dede Scozzafava against a genuine conservative.
Newt has completely lost his former conservative base. He is ancient history.
he know he can’t win. he just wants to keep his profile out there to see more books and have more paid TV appearances somewhere down the road.
His sister is finally getting an operation that will give her the equipment she wants?
She’s have a nifty new title: First Homewrecker.
“Please NO he cant beat Obama.”
Maybe that’s the whole idea.
Will Newt make this anouncement while seated on a couch?
Will Pelosi endorse him?
He saved a load off his car insurance by switching to GEICO.
Running mate: Dede Scuzzyfava
After he does that, then he can form an exploratory committee.
I just wish these establishment posers would just go away.
Newt running in 2012? After Obama leaves office in 2016, I wonder who will replace him?
Very good!!! LOL!!
Oh! That game can be fun. Here's my solution:
that’s a scary thought
Go Sarah Go!!!
noooo...noooo... a thousand times no...no gingrich, romney, mcpain, huckabee, or anyone named bush.....
“Newt has completely lost his former conservative base”
He may have a base, but it ain’t the conservative base.
He never has to worry about TV appearances since that dupe Hannity will have him on every night if Newt wants it.
Naw...he spent the night in a Holiday Inn Express (with a new woman).
This guy knows he is as polarizing as Hillary. The question is why is this guy running, when he has no chance? What is it going to do to the field now that he is in? What does he know about what it is going to do to the field that is motivating him to join?
