AWOL Democrats Experiencing 'Dissension in the Ranks'
FoxNation.com ^ | March 1 | Staff

Posted on 03/01/2011 9:44:09 AM PST by JesseWatters

Fox Nation has learned exclusively from a highly placed source within Wisconsin state politics that the fourteen AWOL Democrats are experiencing "dissension in the ranks." State Sen. Julie Lassa (D) is pregnant and "extremely unhappy" about being on the run. State Sen. Jon Erpenbach (D) has been hit particularly hard by his paycheck being withheld.

“They think they have the support of the American people based on a couple of left-wing, liberal tainted polls. They are sadly mistaken.”

You are so right about that. We are onto the deception being perpetrated by Obotulism and his minions and it is only making the American people even angrier. There is going to hell to pay.

The “dissension” is being caused by their own personal inconveniences. Not one of them seems to care about the principles involved nor the extra money they’re costing the taxpayers due to missing refinancing deadlines.

Exactly. "It's all about me."

A big thank you to the IL Tea Party folks who are tracking the rats to wherever they attempt to hide and then exposing them. The rats can run but they can’t hide.

There is a major point being missed by the media on this. In 14 more days, the Wisconsin Governor can declare those seats “Abandoned”, and call for special elections.

As we get closer to that day, you are going to see some of these Dems break. Some aren’t going to fall on the sword and destroy thier own futures.

One way or another, this ends in the next two weeks, and now you begin to see opinion push-polls being released.

Mew - they don;t have to. Wisconsin statutes already provide that the Governor can declare their seats vacated if they fail to appear for thirty consecutive days.

Could a wisconsin voter sue the 14 for “disenfranchisement”?

maybe a class-action suit?

"No, we are busy. We have jobs and families to attend to. We do have time, however, for things like recall petitions and voting in elections.

The unwashed mob that is the protesters are only impressing those who are already sympathetic to them.Normal, responsible people are repelled by them."

I'd like to agree with you, but intimidation works. How many other states (like Indiana) will now not try for reforms? How many state GOP senators are wavering and may switch sides? We will see, but one of the tactical strengths of the left is their willingness to use street theater and actual violence to achieve their goals. It is a real problem on how to counter them because conservatives have full lives and leftists are monomaniacal for their cause.

Are you serious? Many of us are slaving away at our jobs trying to keep the Tax Monster in our districts fed.

Sorry but I busted up over that. Nothing like having a pissed-off uncomfortable pregnant woman around. If she ain't happy....

Even more interesting is the contrast between TV coverage of Tea Party folks.....and the angry screaming teachers......stark, if you asked me. Who is scarier? Who is violent? History tells us union workers are pretty violent.....and those teachers want to hold themselves up as saints teaching our children? It’s simply not computing for me.

Can someone explain to me why the state legislature hasn’t passed a bill declaring the seats of AWOL members to be vacant after a certain number of missed days.

It would be challenged constitutionally and overturned. The rules for expulsion (and this would be expulsion for non-attendance) require a 2/3 majority of ALL members, not just present ones.

The constitution DOES explicitly say that each house may impose whatever penalties it wants for refusal to attend quorum. I would go for a $5000/day fine. Put a lien on their homes and cars and deduct it from their pay.

Yep, us Tea Partiers are innocent babes compared to the vicious unions fighting for a bigger piece of our tax dollars. No contest.

"State Sen. Jon Erpenbach (D) has been hit particularly hard by his paycheck being withheld." To my understanding, none of their paychecks have been withheld. They are welcome to come to their workplace and pick them up. If my boss put my paycheck on my desk, and I didn't show up at my workpace, that's not the same as having my paycheck withheld.

How many tea party protesters would have to be there full time for the drive by media to cover them and for the media to cover the tea party talking points? Not going to happen nor does it really matter.

Everybody knows one simple fact. The democrats ran away and are hiding in another state and refuse to vote. Everything else is just noise.

No matter how many times the news repeated the lie about Sarah Palin being to blame for the Tuscon shooting, There was still no connection made between Jared Lochner and Sarah Palin in anybody’s mind so it didn’t work.

It is my opinion that the reason the left didn’t riot when Bush won in Florida is that every news channel and webpage showed the score. Bush ahead by 532 votes. That never changed day after day. Psychologically it had a big affect.

As long as the leftist protesters aren’t violently attacked or killed and as long as the Governor isn’t a bully or heavy handed, the democrats running and hiding is still the heart of the matter. Sending out notices to thousands of teachers saying that they will get fired if the dems don’t come back is great. If Walker fired thousands of teachers affective immediately, then it would be bad for him.

Let the leftist protesters protest alone and soon the media will get tired of covering them or another world event will take its place. Counter protests just give them a chance to turn violent and then blame the tea party.
For example, if Sarah Palin declared that she was running for President, Wisconsin wouldn’t get much more attention nationally.

I wonder if this is public notice by Erpenback that his price is going up and there need to be larger union donations to his campaign fund?
