Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.
Holder's frustration over the criticism became evident during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing as Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding a club stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia.
The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culberson read in which former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.

“my people” RACIST
whether whitey wants to believe it or not, it really is “them” and “us”
So any injustice against non-blacks has to measure up to that done to blacks in the past.
Is that the standard?
“my people RACIST”
My exact same first thot.
Glad we understand your priorities now.
Now we know that you're an abject racist and why you protected the Black Panthers.
Eric Holder just gave those thugs carte blanche to continue their behavior.

Well, Holder just self declared that he is not the Attorney General for all of the people in my book.
Good thing Dan Quayle or Sarah Palin didn’t say that, or one of the half dozen remaining American KKK members or a “Nazi skinheads”.
Keep holding Holder’s feet to the fire. Like his narcissistic boss he does not like to be questioned in any way. He will crack under the pressure.
AT LEAST EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT HE IS NOW.
GLAD HE FINALLY CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET............
I don’t give a hoot in hell what Eric Holder calls us. He can spew anything he wants. It won’t change what he is and what he’s attempting to do to this country.
>> whether whitey wants to believe it or not, it really is them and us
You can put this whiteboy down in the “believes it” column.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
OJ Simpson was the beginning of the black man taking the upper hand in America.
As long as we, the American people, allow this type of race baiting, and payback mentality to continue, we’ll get what we deserve.
Civil war talk from the top of the administration.
Very troubling.
Seems to me, Holder just admitted that he has a coflict of interest which makes him unable to do his job.
So - is it now OK for us to refer to Holder and the Black Panthers as ...
You People
????
Is that the standard?
Nathan Bedford's first Maxim of American politics: "all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial."
In my estimation, Nathan Bedford (since 2002-01-07) is among the most astute of FReepers. His succinct maxim aptly summarizes this particular situation as well as numerous others.
So if, as AG, he’s representing “his people”, what about the rest of us when it comes to justice???
“Think about that,” Holder said. “When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, to compare what people subjected to that with what happened in Philadelphia, which was inappropriate....to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line for my people,” said Holder, who is black.
Holder must be forced to resign! This is the final straw.
Is a black using the phrase "My People" just as racist as white saying "You People"...or worse "My People"
LOL!!
I want him out of this job if he can’t see past his skin color and do the right thing.I don’t care who it demeans make the guilty party pay no matter their color. DUH
I remember when Ross Perot addressed a black audience as “you people.” There was quite a kerfluffel about that.
Certainly does seem that way ...
Holder noted that his late sister-in-law, *Vivian Malone Jones, helped integrate the University of Alabama.
*In 1996, she retired as director of civil rights and urban affairs and director of environmental justice for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Vivian Malone Jones - Speaker on PBS & NPR Forum Network
Bartle Bull is a lifelong Democratic civil rights activist
“...whether whitey wants to believe it or not, it really is them and us.”

And it has been that way for quite some time.
Black racism has been running rampant for decades.
Meanwhile ignorant, cowering whites wanted to show how open-minded and hip they are, by electing the cool, young black guy as Commander in Chief.
My people are those of good character who follow the law, regardless of the color of their skin. Apparently, Eric Holder’s people are whose color satisfies Holder’s racist perspective, with no reference to whether they are criminals.
“Seems to me, Holder just admitted that he has a coflict of interest which makes him unable to do his job.”
Or a definite bias (in likely violation of ethics rules) in choosing who he will/won’t prosecute.
The truth shall set you free...’my people’
Of course he is no differnet than Obamanation nor the about 90% of ‘my people’ that voted him.
Rep. Chakah Fattah, a Democrat from Philadelphia, said the Black Panthers “should not have been there.” But he said the GOP was making too much out of a fleeting incident involving a couple of people.

Chakah Fattah. Philie has a Representative named Chakah Fattah?
Just Wow.
Chakah Fattah.
This needs to be in ‘breaking’ or ‘front page’. I’m absolutely DISGUSTED!!!!!
Here is Bull’s interview by FN’s Kelley.

Yes, AG Holder.....remind us again: Which party was responsible for denying the right to vote...? Which one had The 1964 Civil Rights Act passed after the filibuster...?
No Eric, the Black Panthers demean your people.
We know your people can do better than that for themselves. What’s truly tragic, is that you don’t.
I might be the last one, but I didn’t realize that there was such resentment/jealousy/hatred in the black community against whites! I really didn’t. I grew up in an environment that didn’t see themselves better or worse than anyone else..., simply liking people if they were decent and not liking those who weren’t. Now, I see, I chose to ignore the signals... signals such as my black co-workers taking on a separate “language” when I wasn’t a part of the discussion; eye rolling to each other in a group of mixed colors... little things I should have seen as a deliberate act to “stay separate”.
I still chose my friends by their belief systems, not by color... and after seeing the past 2 years... actually beginning with the OJ trial, it has been slapped in my face.
Rush is talking about this now!
“I misspoke”. The end.

You stinkin' Americans are NOT our people.
And that rag you call the Constitution will be burnt publicly,
after it dries off from our urine.
Only “your people” can demean “your people” Eric.
The law was violated and it’s your job to prosecute!
OK Holder you AA dipchit, when we get a WHITE AG then he can worry ONLY about our People.
>>>>Are you an American first and foremost, or an African-American first and foremost?<<<<
I hate the term “African-American”. Unless you were born in Africa and later became an American, you are NOT “African-American”!!
I think Holder demeans his own people - which should be the American people.
When are we going to have that honest conversation about race?
The irony is that he can say and use the term “my people”.
But if you or I uttered the term “you people”, that would be racist.
