A professor emeritus at the Law School of Notre Dame says he doesn't know whether Barack Obama "achieved election by misrepresenting, innocently or by fraud, his eligibility for that office."
But Charles E. Rice, who has authored "What Happened to Notre Dame?" said the U.S .House of Representatives should be the leaders stepping forward to resolve the question.
"The House of Representatives is an appropriate body to inquire into the facts and legal implications of a president's disputed eligibility for office," he wrote on his blog, called The Steady Drip," today.
"The House itself has a contingent but potentially decisive role in the election of a president," he wrote.
The issue of Obama's eligibility has been disputed since before his election. Hawaiian officials earlier said they have seen Obama's documentation but they have not revealed what it says – although new Gov. Neil Abercrombie was unsuccessful in his announced plan to find and produce the state's documentation about the birth.

I would much prefer the 50 States each independently deciding this matter in also deciding whether or not their electors can be casts for the man.
I don’t really like the idea of congress having a veto over who can run for president. This is a matter of the 50 States 50 different elections for deterring how to cast their respective electors.
I would very much like a presidential Canadit to have to prove his eligibility to at least 270 electors worth of em to win.

Actually, to make a point...it’d be better to get every possible illegal alien to come up and sign as a candidate for an office. Once it became clear that forty or fifty foreign citizens occupy city, county, or state positions...everyone would then agree that the system is broke.

It's actually the job of Congress to ensure that a President elect is eligible or they, Congress, must name an interim President.

The heck with the birth certificate. I want to see it all.
is it so much to ask of a man who is supposed to be representative of our country and leading us?
In a world where people are elected wouldn’t it be better if we could see all of his life as was documented instead of taking his word for it?
This man has been everything EXCEPT what he has proclaimed.
Almost all of his campaign promises and legislative functions have been the opposite of what he has said he would do.
Taking that into account, I think it is more than fair to tell him, show us EVERYTHING. He is supposed to work for us. Doesn’t it seem right that he would provide his documentation then?
Do employers just take what a person says in the oral interview or do they also request records and transcripts to back that up? Yet this man who controls the worlds mightiest military, the most visible political office in the world, we are in the dark as to his history.
I suggest that people really look at this man and see what he has done .. how he has acted and how he has treated friends and enemies.
