Perhaps you should ask him...he knows... She asked you Mr. Raised Discourse. Why don't you answer her.

I live about 40 miles away from Westboro Baptist Church. Obviously not friends of yours since you're sympathetic with the homosexual agenda.

This map from NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Lab in Seattle shows the projected path of the tsunami. The scientists projections have so far matched actual water levels very well. The most damaging waves on the U.S. coast are directed at Crescent City, Calif. The magnitude 8.9 Japan quake was preceded by a series of magnitude 7 foreshocks that scientists will be studying closely, Vidale said. "We're very curious to see if something was going on that might have provided warning had they known how to interpret it properly." Scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Two buoys off the coast of Japan picked up the tsunami wave That information allowed modelers in Seattle to predict the wave's path and its likely impact on Hawaii and the U.S. West Coast.
Oh my Lord, rockrr, I had no idea this had happened. I have been ill and had not turned on the news. I am just so sorry and hope you, your family, and community are all OK. Please let us know how you are.

. . . actually I didn't want to then, nor do I want to now, discuss this.
I had made an attempt to deflect a potential offensive situation with a joke.

I appreciate your concern mstar. We weren’t affected here in Seattle - we have a huge inlet (Puget Sound) that would absorb a substantial part of any tsunami, and are effectively a hundred miles “inland”. NOAA and the University of Washington have lots of scientific and research facilities based here that specialize in earthquake and tsunami activity.
I do pray for those folks in Japan.

Thank you for the update. No I don't know the area. I had seen the warnings all the way from La Jolla, San Monica on up, and then of course, the tragic deaths near Crescent City, Calif and just kinda freaked.
Having just encouraged someone living close by, to go see the flowers and hear the birdies sing was a horrible thing to say. Please accept my apologies.

Yeah and I live a just a few miles from a mosque. Sure doesn't mean I go there or bother to learn their traditions. But you didn't say you were a Muslim. Just a, how did you put it? A 'whitey Baptist'.

The news is filled today with stories of horror for those in Japan. Yet here you are trying to stir up more arguments.
Why don't you do as Rockrr did, go outside and enjoy the beautiful flowers God has blessed us with and hear His birdies sing. . .
and thank a merciful God you are not in Japan
. . . and consider saying a prayer for those poor souls, if you have not done so.

Now it’s two month-old posts? Are you going to go all the way back to my sign-up date? Maybe you can revive every Civil War thread I’ve ever posted on.
