Dear Bill,

I was disgusted by both your obsequious softball questions to the President on Superbowl Sunday which contrasted sharply with your contemptuous and abusive questions toward Secretary Rumsfeld last night. It is quite transparent that you think you've maxed your viewership on the right and thus the only way to increase ratings now is to pander to the left. Maybe Michael Moore will take my place as a Factor viewer.

Dear Bill,

You shamed yourself in the interview with Secretary Rumsfeld last night by impugning his motives. How dare you. Secretary Rumsfeld has served this country in uniform and has the distinction of serving his country twice as Secretary of Defense. He has overseen the deployment of 100's of thousands of America's fighting men and women into combat in defense of this nation. Would you have had the courage to do so even once. Yet, you feel entirely qualified to accuse this honorable man of incompetence and a failure to take his position seriously. Even the mythical Ted Baxter would have given a better interview.

I agree 100%. I was ashamed to be a FNC fan watching O’Reilly try to trash one of the greatest public servants to come along during my lifetime. O’Reilly should move to MSNBC!

Arguing with Rummy about Iraq is like arguing with Heisenberg about quantum mechanics.

I don't know how many Freepers saw "The O'Reilly Factor" on March 3, 2011 but it left me wanting to throw my shoes through the screen. I've posted two of the letters I sent to Fox News but doubt if either of them will be read by Mr. O'Reilly. So, I did the next best thing. I published them here on FR.

Maybe there are some other Freepers who would like the chance to opine. Remember pithy comments please.

Bill O Reilly is an anti-birther POS and one of Prince AL Waleed’s dhimini puppets at Fox Al Waleed.

personally , I thought Rumsfeld dragged his ass on troops numbers in the lead up to the fight . We should have overwhelmed them . We should have totally pressured Turkey
to allow a complete second front utilizing the 4th ID and we should have never put the situation into the hands of the inept Interm Authority after the initial victory . They really screwed the pooch . This always happens , over & over again , whenever the CIV’s are put in authority over Mil ops .
.Until we learn to fight with the gloves off and use our Mil assets the way they are supposed to be used ,we will never experience clear cut victories again . Perhaps there needs to be a Constitutional amendment in this country that allows for 2 leaderships ? one CIV , one MIL ?

Dear Bill,

Your contentious interview with the great, patriotic American Don Rumsfeld sure showed how much you think you know everything and are the last word on any issue.

But all I kept thinking was how you always put the “pompous” in pompous ass.

You make some good points and you and I can agree to disagree over specifics, but what O'Reilly did tonight was to impugn Rumsfeld's and Bush's motives. I'm not conceding your point but incompetence is vastly different than malevolence. And that is what O'Reilly did tonight. He accused Secretary Rumsfeld of being EVIL!

All of this shows just how difficult war is. You do have to make some decisions that will always be against some in the administration, much less with the public.

He did a good job while he was in charge. There may be those who disagree here, but you have to understand that you are looking back with hindsight. Things were not so clear when he make his decisions.

So, my advice is that you hold your criticism and let history decide. It will probably be much more kind to him than many here... He did his best under the circumstances and did a reasonably good - actually great - job.

I saw Blow O’Reilly make a horse’s ass of himself tonight. He rips into Mr. Rumsfeld and then when Rummy wants to answer the blowhard, he says I don’t have time.

PATHETIC!!!

BOR’s many and varied assumptions about what the administration is doing is just jaw-dropping.

The man is just so f***ing ignorant and arrogant. He doesn’t “think” this and he doesn’t “believe” that, he just airily makes his mind up and that’s it.

And for God’s sake! Why should his guests be so deferential to him? I live to see the day someone puts him in his place. I’ll never forgive Sarah for letting him get away with talking down to her that time.

I saw the interview and had to turn it off.

O’Reilly was so full of himself, it was coming out of his ears.

At one point Rumsfeld gave him a look like “and who the hell do you think you are”

The interview was over for me and for Donald at that point.

Bill should just interview himself from now on—there enough BS in him for two people.
