Once, it was mere adultery or clueless gaffes that gauged the shortcomings of politicians. The stakes have gone up. The extreme bombast and ballyhoo of one Carlos Irwin Estevez aka Charlie Sheen have become a political barometer of sorts.

Bill Clinton set the stage and the downward spiral continues.
Charlie Sheen is a product of his environment, being the son of Martin and raised in Hollywood.
Just because Mr. Sheen believes that adult film actresses have more character than most people in Hollywoodland, and chooses to associate with them, this is of small moment. As far as his drug excesses, well, that is unfortunate, and hopefully he can evolve a more balanced personal life, while retaining his acting abilities, or lack thereof.
Other than this, the only people with an overriding concern about this are those with little else enough to do.
“As an American, I am embarrassed at the bandwidth wasted nation-wide over this cipher.”
Watching drug addled insanity and Hollywood excess is not a waste of bandwidth.
Charlie is the face of a left winger.
The late 60’s excesses is the gift that keeps on giving...
How the hell did you conservative baby boomers refrain from taking those a—hole lefties out behind the woodshed and give them the beat down they so desperately need???

I didn’t know he was a member of a protected victim class.
Now,we know where he’s been storing his “tests!”
I view the Sheen saga as a reality show considerably more entertaining than a bunch of clowns on some island.
I don't like any of his shows or movies...as far as I can tell he's just not very good at acting.
However, following his REAL life is a hoot. He's living like a Rolling Stone...only more so.
I think a lot of us believed that they'd grow out of it, and that this particular narcissistic fad would pass when the realities of actual life as humans have lived it for millennia demanded that they grow out of it.
What a lot of us never suspected was that a self-supporting subculture of permanently-adolescent, intellectually self-disabled and at least borderline treasonous citizens would emerge as an established (and pretty dang large) sector of American society. Or that it would be maintained and coddled by an information medium that would reinforce the delusion.
In other words, many of us never saw it coming, and just couldn't--or wouldn't---believe the wiser among us who did see it coming. Sheen is a product of that subculture, just exaggerated and fed upon, as Hollywood tends to do with its victims. It is broad-minded, and eats its own as well as its enemies.
