I arrived around noon, but patriots in support of the United States Constitution have been gathering since 10AM. Around 9:30AM, 630 WMAL, a local conservative radio station reported that the Sharia Law supporters had canceled their rally. Security concerns were mentioned in addition to insufficient SL supporters. But we stayed to continue our rally.
If you want to hear to radical Anjem Choudary spew his reason for the cancellation, click HERE. Be aware that you go to his web site.
Reports I heard from before I arrived were that a handful of Sharia Law supporters arrived, saw our gathering of supporters and left the area.
On the threads about todays event, several posters questioned whether the radical Sharia Law supporters were going to be there since they had not yet obtained a permit for Lafayette Park. Remembering that Glenn Beck did not receive his permit until a week before his huge event, a smaller event as this could easily be issued quickly.
And even without a permit, they could have gathered as a small group. The slime media would report the small crowd as a revolution, giving them hours of air time. I have watched the news on various stations and nothing. But that is expected. No of our group said anything to the slimes that could be used to ridicule us. Facts and well thought out opinions are not what the slimes are looking for.
I think for the first time the patriots had the reporters all to ourselves. The biased media had no one else to interview and we accommodated them. Several patriots made impromptu speeches within the confines of Lafayette Park where the Sharia Law supporters were supposed to be.
The patriots came from near and far, a biker prayer group from NC, FReeper Bevperl from Chicago, a couple from New York, and the Koran burner Terry Jones and his group. NOTE: Tthe words Stand Up America is being associated with Jones but he is in no way associated with of MG Paul E. Vallely, US Army (Ret), Stand Up America organization established in 2005.
A brief narrative and good read by WO4Man is HERE and his favorite picture is HERE. Note that at no time did our group place a hand on the Muslim. More on this below.
WO4Mans photo file HERE.
And then we had pictures. Pictures are by WO4Man (BLUE outlined pics) and [Mrs] Trooprally.
BELOW LEFT: Early gathering of patriots. BELOW RIGHT: And we keep gathering!
BELOW LEFT: WO4Man, RongKirby and lady from Virginia. BELOW RIGHT: Bevperl
BELOW LEFT: Captain America with supporters coming down Pennsylvania Avenue BELOW RIGHT: Showing our colors in front of White House
BELOW LEFT: Folding of flag since Park Police does not allow anything, even the U.S. flag to rest on Park property. The flag was leaning against a tree. BELOW RIGHT: Captain America talking to reporters.
BELOW LEFT: Some signs BELOW RIGHT: And more signs. RongKirby with flag and Cindy_True_Supporter to his left, listening to one of our speakers. There were about 5 speakers, one wearing a NYC fire department helmit.
BELOW LEFT: Me with my dual flag. Curiously, a well dressed man stood next to me watching our rally in apparent approval. He had an un-lit cigar and I asked if he needed a light. NO he said. He had to get back to work. I asked if he worked close by, and he said very close. As he turned to walked away he said, Help is on its way. Interesting. BELOW RIGHT: Another Israeli supporter. We had several Jews thank us for being there. One couple was visiting from Israel.
The next couple of pictures of our actions got mixed review from our group. Several patriots were concerned that our actions will make the anti-Sharia Law movement look bad and will garner reprisals.
But the way I look at it, if a Christian or Jew publicly prayed in Iran, they would at best be put in jail, at worst they would be murdered. The below Muslim is using the freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution against us. According to the Supreme Court, even the Westboro "Baptist" Church anti-military a$$hats have freedom of speech.
I have to add, at no time did we threaten the Muslim. At no time was a hand physically placed on the Muslim. At worst we annoyed him.
If todays events were a dry run by radical Anjem Choudary to see how much blow back there would be from Americans, we definitely showed our resolve in a firm, non-threatening but determined way.
BELOW LEFT: Muslim praying while several evangelical Christians pray over him. BELOW RIGHT: Me standing on the east side of the Muslim, in the crowd on the pics right. Basically the Muslim was praying to the Israeli and U.S. flags.
BELOW LEFT: Some of the evangelical Christians placed crosses in front of the Muslim. This was the only time the Muslim seemed annoyed. BELOW RIGHT: While the Muslim was praying, the NC biker prayer group unfolded Captain Americas flag and stood between the Muslim and the While House.
Short video of the Muslim starting his prayers. You can hear us loudly chanting USA - USA and singing a patriotic song. As mentioned by WO4Man in his narrative, our group also said the Our Father and Hail Mary, and sang more patriotic songs. WO4Man is standing behind Muslim with sign.
As Cindy_True_Supporters signs said - SHARIA LAW IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH U.S. CONSTITUTION
It may very well galvanize the radical Muslims, but it also shows that we will not roll over RINO style and just let the creep of Islam radicals and our own leftist ruin our Country. We have got to stand up, be heard and non-violently push back. Everyone there understands this.
[Mr] T
I read the thread and looked at all the pics. Heavy, heavy coolness. I wish I wasn’t stuck in PROK, or I’d have been with you.
Thank you for doing this.
There was nothing extra ordinary going on after the guy left. I am just hoping there are pro-Constitutional supporters in the government that are keeping an eye out for radical Anjem Choudary and his ilk. Maybe keeping them out of the Country. I don’t know but his words stuck with me.
[Mr]. T
Nope, not “petulant”, just showing that we will not take the destruction of our Country. The RINOs have turned a blind eye to the radicals and leftist in the name of being “civil”. We are just showing our determination not to let that happen. Muslims and leftists have taken RINO like actions as a sign of weakness.
[Mr] T
BTW, Islam is not a religion.
Chadury may have been just making noise for publicity. And not having a permit sure sounds like it. But we went into Thursday rally knowing about the permit. We were not going to let even a publicity stunt keep us away. Next time may not be a dry run and then the radicals would get all the publicity while we sit at home watching them on TV.
[Mr] T
I swear to God i hope somebody had some thoughts about having bomb sniffing equipment around if they try to do another event.
Frankly just one person reeks of a suicide bomber, perhaps he was expecting hundreds to show up, just something to keep in mind, or to keep a certain distance from them.
Just be sure to pick and choose wisely what group your counter protest.
That was a lot of time and effort put in to protest a fraud, someone who has no followers and consistently creates drama because he knows the foolish media will fall for him every time and put him on TV. A “dry run” would have been an organization with actual clout, not some rent a jihadi that the media enjoys having access to
In short, this guy wasn’t legit at all and I feel bad you wasted your time and money going down there to pray for 1 guy who shows up everyday in front of the WH to do prayers
I'll mildly dispute that over the semantics of what constitutes a "religion". It's pretty clear that Islam is, at best, some form of Voodoo or Hoodoo and, at worst, a variant of devil worship. Arguably, even worship of Satan is a "religion". Islam, like Communism, is in error, to say the least. Islam is largely a vile political movement but its roots stem from a "religion" based upon the "teachings" of the illiterate pedophile Muhammad.
A picture is worthwhile of the enemy. This thuggish "dude" is Amir Abdel Fattah, the Executive Director of MillionMuslims.org, the group planning a march in Washington on July 4, 2011:
Contrary to you, I would have preferred paint guns and anything else to get these vermin movin'...
These people are advocating a take over of our country whereby they can rape your children and kill off the rest of your family if your family doesn't turn to Izlam...
And then they will rape the little muzlim boys kill the women at their pleasure...
No thanks...I'm not going to sit there and be complacent when these bottom feeders try to take over my country...
Could you please post the videos?
Gosh, what happened that was so bad? Please tell...
I am not in favor of Sharia. I oppose Islam and its spread. I do not, however, like what I saw in the videos of this event.
One man does not constitute a rally, and the means by which the people present addressed the issue was tasteless and a horrible representation of both Christianity and the U.S.
Some are claiming it was a set-up, that the whole rally 4 sharia thing was to get people riled up so that they would go and do exactly what they did, creating yet more material to spread via the internet that discredits and damages both conservatives and Christians. I think thats a little silly, as far as conspiracy theories go, but its not far from what ended up happening.
Sorry, flame me all you want. Im not defending Islam. Ive been very vocal about my opposition. But I certainly think the behavior exhibited here was beneath our camp, and will only galvanize our enemy. It would have been MUCH better to stay the hell away from the guy, but within eyesight and earshot, instead of swarming him.

Permit me to say, as both a Patriot AND a Preacher of Christ Jesus, that I second your sentiments on this whole occasion. Muslims PLAYED these Christians. And, these people, no matter how sincere they were, went overboard in screaming “Jesus!” over one Muslim man praying quietly in front of the White House.
I KNOW what radical Islam is. I pull no punches in condemning it, and in insisting that our nation must fight it — because it surely means to destroy us. However, this Muslim man was doing NOTHING illegal. He had the liberty to pray, according to his conscience, and that is a sacred right in THIS nation. What Christians did by DISRUPTING his was the SIN here. And not only did it portray Americans as hypocrites, but it portrayed Christians as haters. NEITHER is to be the case.
Don’t be drawn into that kind of foolishness! Jesus isn’t a chant to shout Muslims down. And just as WE ought to have the right to pray on the sidewalks of our Capitol, so should those of other religions as well. Now, had Choudary and his bunch shown up and been demanding Shari’a Law, THAT would have been something Patriotic Americans COULD have rightly counter-protested. But it turned out to be a “trap.”
Perhaps it’s BETTER, as noted in your previous post, to STAY AWAY from such rallies than to go to counter-protest and be drawn in by anger and indignation to appear hateful and actually SERVE their purposes and provide them with the ammunition THEY want.
God bless those Patriotic Constitution Supporters!
A Big Thanks from Washington State!
**It would have been MUCH better to stay the hell away from the guy, but within eyesight and earshot, instead of swarming him.**
I agree. Now, if the man was at all interested getting to know Jesus Christ, he would have asked. To stand over him with hands reaching toward him, in a sort of “I’m laying my hand on this poor soul in prayer without touching him” is kinda charismatic in style. IMO, let your yea be yea and your nay be nay. If you’re not going to literally lay hands on him (with his permission), just find a place to pray without being showy.
Most likely, the muslim praying in a humble fashion FOR ALL TO SEE. But that’s how they are taught. They remind me of the admonition Jesus gave his disciples, about doing your prayer in private, and not strutting your religiosity out in front of everybody.
Personally, I would wait for him to finish, then politely tell him that Jesus died, rose again, and went to heaven so that he could receive remission of sins, and the amazing infilling of the Holy Ghost.
If he doesn’t want to hear it, that’s his choice; stamp your feet and move on.
No mincing of words, either. Any religion that doesn’t believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, is not of God, but of the devil.
I certainly do tip my hat to the patriot protesters loudly supporting the Constitution. God bless them.
>> SHARIA LAW IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH U.S. CONSTITUTION
Sharia law is a violation of my instincts.
Cindytruesupporters sign said it all.
Thanks for making the effort FReepers!
Turning it into a, support the troops and constitution rally, can never be wrong!
Beck was talking about this this morning. Going to have to side with some of the other posters regarding treatment of the muslim - it was childish and accomplished nothing.
Now that I think of it, perhaps someone should enclose the White Hut in this manner as well.
Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DnnS2SC2JI
Iscool: I do NOT disagree with your sentiment. I simply question the choice of those protesters to behave in the manner they did. Had it been a large crowd of Islamists I would have been behind them 100%. But it was not. It was one man who has a long standing routine of going and praying there on a regular basis.
All this did was serve to support the claims of our enemies and weaken us. It doesn’t matter if some people see that we won’t roll over if the end result is to push people on the fence to the side of our enemy. How is that conducive to achieving our goal?
It paints us in a bad light. It defames us. It makes US look like the bad guys, the enemy. It makes THEM seem like the victims, despite all of the FACTS we have to show what they want to do.
And it is far below the standard to which we should hold ourselves.
One man does not constitute “these vermin,” he was a non-issue, and in his resolve he looked like a hero. That’s what we want?
I oppose Islam in all the ways I can, but I want to win the war, not set us back for the temporary satisfaction of feeling like “we told ‘em good.”
