Great Video. However, you did not watch in disbelief nor did I laugh in hilarity.

I agree. Two liberal pantie waist reporters come to grips with the hunting and killing of an animal. I thought they handled it very well considering they had never handled a gun nor did any kind of hunting at all. Also were not afraid to get blood on their hands (and eye, LOL). To tell you the truth I was expecting something bad and I came away feeling quite good about this film. Any time we can get women interested in Hunting and Fire Arms is a good thing.

Maybe it's 22 years in the Infantry, but I cringe at the use of the word "gun". Guns are belt fed and usually tripod mounted. They are firing rifles and shotguns.

That little rant aside, liberals in the woods with weapons. Your best entertainment value. These people are not only clueless, blithering IDIOTS, they are DANGEROUS, clueless blithering idiots. Scopebite with STITCHES?? Jesus H, the sign of a true, rank amateur. Never allow her to hold a weapon ever again.

"99% of it is just being cold".......then pick your stupid, clueless city-girl ass up and go to the mall, they have heat there. And you can hunt for a new purse.

This morning Wife and I had coffee with a another couple who live here.
She’d shot a semi-auto pistol yesterday and had gotten her thumb in the way of the recoil.
They’d wrapped it up pretty well. Still throbbing and bloddied.

Starts off pretty corny, but at the end one of the reporterettes actually was butchering the deer and enjoying venison steaks! Quite impressive, even if they do talk in NPR-style hushed tones and carry on with a lot of lib Gobbledygook / PC-blather. Maybe after a year or two of hunting, they’d even begin to talk like regular folk

All things considered, this was a very fair piece, presented well. The two participants, urban women, probably “progressive” politically, were about as green as they could be about hunting, firearms, and the outdoors. But they gave the entire experience a fair shake, and didn’t present any neurotic, negative conclusions.

Well, I say good for them, well done. Yeah one of them especially was a squemish liberal, but hey, give them credit for getting out of their comfort zone and make an effort to understand guns and hunting. I hope there are many more liberals who follow the lead of these ladies. If that were the case I bet we’d have a lot fewer call from liberals to tear down the Second Amendmet.

I was expecting so much worse and was pleasantly surprised. I think they got it and will never look at a rifle the same way again. Chalk two from the roles of the gun takers.

The only shame I see in the video is on the guy who shot the yearling. I swear it was so small it probably still had its spots. A little patience next time. What a waste of a good deer tag.

My only hope is that these two bimbos actually got a taste of real deer hunting in the process. And no, deer “hunting” is not the same as deer “killing” or (ahem) field dressing or meat preparation.

At some point, sitting quietly against a tree and trying hard to “tune in” to the forest, the magic of deer hunting sinks in. Something buried deep in your DNA starts to awaken. You begin to hear and smell and see what is really around you. The direction of the breeze is important. You belong there.

The “hunting” part of deer hunting is pure magic. I can’t find a better word for it.

Hopefully these ladies felt just a few moments of the magic. If so, they’ll be back for more.

BRAVO for these ladies! Perhaps if more of their friends actually spent some time in the great outdoors with hunters/shooters there would be far far less disinformation about hunters/shooters, the 2nd Amendment, and our true concern for the environment.

Thanks for posting this. It was overall very positive for hunting. Maybe we can bring libs around to our way of thinking through the ethics of hunted meat and the independence that a gun provides. Whatever it takes.

The applicable reg...:

FIREARM OWNERS' ID CARD (issued by Illinois State Police) Regardless of who owns the gun, anyone who has a firearm or firearm ammunition in their possession must have in their possession a valid (F.O.I.D.) Card unless (a) A licensed nonresident hunting in Illinois, or (b) Under 21 and under the immediate control of a parent, guardian, or responsible adult who has in their possession a valid F.O.I.D. Card. Only one supervisory adult is required to have a F.O.I.D. Card in their possession, if all hunters under 21 in the party without a F.O.I.D. Card remain under the direct supervision of the supervisory adult possessing the F.O.I.D. Card.

I think that both of the reporter-ettes celebrated their 21st a while ago.

I have nothing against women in the woods with rifles. But inexperienced, clueless idiots like these two are what make the woods as dangerous as the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. More than once I have had bullets whiz past me from idiots. It is a great temptation to return fire, however, I saved that for Iraq.

Great gun! The original point-and-click interface. It eliminates the erroneous act of cocking a revolver before shooting.

Everyone is a clueless idiot the first time. I thought the piece was very positive and it’s good when women who are alledged to be liberals start to be aware of the difference between hunting and wanton killing of defensless animals. These two would be keepers in my book, and not just for their looks. By the way, I also spent many years in the military, also went to Iraq, and Vietnam, and I find it much more pleasant that these two were converted to our side rather than being insulted and left thinking all that junk about blood lust killing and conservatives is true. But that’s just my opinion.

My brother-in-law (Now deceased) got scope bite years ago. Some Chinese or North Korean was popping rounds at them while at the Chosen Resevoir, so he borrowed another soldier’s scoped rifle, who wasn’t using it, and popped a cap on target. All he saw was stars, and he never got too close to the scope again.

I don’t know if he hit his target or not, but he made up for it later.
