What Walker and the GOP should have done, however, was pass non-budget bills. Things like Voter ID, environmental laws, and repealing the state's smoking ban should have been passed.

I think they kept the law together, to muddy the water - so to deny the DEM talking points.
I can’t believe they didn’t do that. It would have been a perfect chance to play the game the Dems wanted to play.
I think they are walking a careful line against doing anything that might invite a court challenge (on process) until we see that Supreme Court Justice David Prosser is safely reelected.
Of all the WI R-Senators, Schultz is the one I’m keeping my eye on. Sure hope you’re right, EEE. I don’t know much about him but it did sound like he’s the one who can’t be trusted. Will gladly accept being wrong about him.
