Jesse Jackson Jr. Says Way Out of the Unemployment Crisis is to Change the Constitution So Every Ghetto Kid Gets an iPod and a Laptop

Didn’t Alvin Greene have much the same idea?
On an interesting, but totally unrelated subject, crack dealers and ghetto street thugs have started running ads advertising ipods and laptops for sale...
...like any street thief, get caught stealing, might as well grab something on the way out the door...
Hey - a new “right”: iPods!
Whitey pays for it, naturally.
Not a problem. . .
Aren’t laptops and ipods the tools of revolution these days? This seems a little transparent and a little eye-opening at the same time.
let their useless layabout ne’er do well parents go out and work for it....
and find the babydaddies while we are at it...and charge them for all the welfare their kids are one...
JJ Junior....you a useless dooooosh just like your daddy.
If this happens, how much of a kickback does Je$$e Jack$on get from Apple?
I don’t think the answer is more electronics or more pop culture. Or more government spending.
With the way technology changes, this sounds like what in the mid1800s would have been “40 acres and a mule”...
What the ghetto kids need is what they can’t get. A father. A mother who gives a damn.
Did Congressman John Conyers son find his 2 laptops stolen from the government paid for Escalade? This is important because every kid should have a government paid for Escalade also. I am also thinking that every kid should have free dinner to go with the free breakfast and lunch. Lazy parents cannot serve a glass of OJ and bowl of Fruit Loops to little kids we should provide dinner so they can enjoy laptops on a full stomach.
This is cargo cult thinking. The way out of poverty is not having cool stuff like computers, Ipods and expensive sneakers. The way out of poverty is being able to read, write, do at least basic arithmetic, and to be able to speak in a manner that is mostly comprehensible to people who hold management jobs. Oh, and being able to do basic stuff like show up on time to interviews, save money (even poor people can do it), and look people in the eye when you talk to them. These are all culturally transmitted traits from parents to kids.
Jesse now sees that “rich” kids have portables and is sure that if poor kids had portables, they would be rich. Cargo cult thinking.
Jesse has been doing his best to prevent the black community from adopting and teaching these skills and values to their children for coming on 40 years now. Someday, today’s American black leaders will go down in history as the the toadies that kept black America down on behalf of their white democrat slavemasters for almost 100 years—the black overseer on the plantation, if you will.
My 11 year old just got a portable. Does that prove Jesse’s point? No. My eleven year old asked for one a year ago and I told him he could have one if he earned and saved the money. Then I helped him figure out how to make the money (it involves going out all day when it’s really cold and shoveling an obscene amount of snow). Then when he made the money, we sat down together and divided it up (tithe 10%, keep 10% to buy a new snow shovel or maybe even a snow blower). Save half the rest and spend what’s left over for anything you want. So he didn’t really get a computer. He got a way of thinking about how to structure your affairs that helps you achieve goals a year down the line. And he got the knowledge that it works. And, man, does he think that laptop rocks.
Meanwhile, government handouts are ensuring that all ghetto homes are equipped with a big screen television, all the junk food the can eat, and rims on the car in the driveway. My heavens, it would just be barbaric to expect that people living on the government dole get by with mere 'basics'. Once we made poverty comfortable, we eliminated the motivation most people would have to improve their lives. Afterall, just pop out a baby or two and boom - you're set for life with all the gubmint benies you can want.
I guess these ghetto kids need a hero though... one that got them a free house, laptop and ipod. Who better to serve as that hero than JJ Jr, right? ...damn that pesky reality regarding who gets to pay for it.
wow...
Daddy got US to pay for FREE landline phones and FREE Internet service for 'the poor'(1). Or as Eric Holder would say: 'My People'.
(1) Take a GOOD LOOK at your Internet and Phone Bill(s) and all the Federal Taxes that are in one lump sum. That's for those FREE programs for 'the poor'.
Of course with metals cost’ increasing by a factor of five for copper conductor in 2 years, don’t plan on every house having electrical power anymore.
