Sen. John Ensign discovers his family

Kudos to Sen. John Ensign, R-Nevada, for finally figuring out that he should not run for re-election.

I don't care if he is not facing criminal charges. Ensign's woes began with an affair with staffer Cindy Hampton. Hampton's husband worked for Ensign and was a close friend. After Mr. H. found out about the affair, Ensign's parents paid the Hamptons $96,000 and helped the husband find work. The whole story stank . . .

I’m opposed to running Angle for anything again, I don’t think she’d lose the general for that House seat but she’d likely underperform and force us to waste resources there. And heaven forbid she should try and run against Reid again. Reid was DEAD and she let him crawl out of the grave and win by over 5 points. She’s failed 3 times now to win higher office, it’s someone else’s turn in Nevada.

Maurice Washington sounds promising. Is he interested?

No idea. We’ll see when Heller announces if they start mentioning his name.

Angle appears to be interested in running....for the Senate seat that is.

“Dean Heller will run and Sharron Angle will likely run for the House to succeed Heller.”

Sounds like a plan. Sharron Angle would NOT be a good candidate for Senate in 2012.
