Warner Bros. Television says it has fired Charlie Sheen from the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men." The studio that produces the CBS series said the decision was made after "careful consideration." Sheen's erratic personal life had prompted Warner to suspend production on the show for the season, and Sheen in return had been waging an angry media campaign against the show's producers.

Does this mean the new show will be called “One and a half men”
I forgot the sarc.....
So??? Every show/series comes to an end. In his case his real life became more bizzare than his character’s life, but I’ve always said he was pretty much playing himself.
Modern Family is a better show followed closely by The Middle.
GREAT! Best News I’ve read all day.
Charlie WAS the half man.
HMMMMMMM.....I wander if I would walk away from 1.8 mil for each show to prove nothing....oh well
What a dope-—Sheen pulling down millions for a crap show and yet he throws it to the wind. There goes the 1/2 man.
Anyone else would have to be an idiot to hire this guy.
Why hire a loser that is going to destroy himself and possibly take you with him.
My idea for a series finale: Bob Newhart reprises his Dr. Bob Hartley character... and wakes up in an institutionalized setting, having been depressed since wife Emily died... and Bob says something like What the hell kind of drugs are you giving me - Ive had the strangest dreams...
I agree....His train came off the track
No - now it'll be called "Two Men".
Cryer can be hysterically funny when given the chance....
Hahaha, Soooo, now it’s down to being called
They should build a show around the Mother, maid and Allen. Drop the kid too, he’s useless.
Well, Charlie has his goddesses to console him. Assuming he still has enough money saved to support them, that is.
My bad, assuming his goddesses are there due to his fame and fortune.
I never watched the show so I don’t know what goes on there. Maybe if they wrote a drug crazed freak into the script they could keep Charlie.
I won’t be surprised if the next headline confirms that Charlie Sheen and Glenn Beck are just trading TV shows.
No - “Two men”.
Great, now he’a victim . . .
what a knucklehead
Well according to Sheen he’ll just go back to making movies with real stars....only problemo is that IIRC he went to TV because they couldn’t insure him....?
New Reality Show: Weekend at Charlie’s. Guys get to party with him and the Godesses. Girls get to be “Godesses”.
“I’ma, I’ma.....F-18....and I’ma gonna attack!....I’m gonna deploy my ordnance to the ground!” [I think he means that’s what he thinks is happening when he does a drunk face-plant on the ground]
Give the devil his due: I thought he did an excellent job in "Platoon."
Out of sight... out of mind... bye Charlie Sheen have fun in no-man's land you fool.
Yeah, agree....a real turd bucket, no value added except to connect Allen to the ex-wife and give Drunk Boy some closure on the hard-to-believe doting-uncle 'fondness' for the boy.
The country is going down the tubes, the middle east is on fire, the Democrats continue to loot the treasury and this is our entertainment (Distraction)?
They’ll have to rename the show Two Men since Charlie is gone.
His hookers better start hiding.
‘The was taken [sic] after “careful consideration”’
Do these idiots ever proofread anything?
Good riddance, clown. There’s gotta be 100 actors that could do as good or better in that role.
I never got the show - not at all. I mean, how many different ways can you joke about boobs, penises and premarital sex before you simply run out of ideas?
According to TMZ - he’ll be suing for the 8 cancelled shows at $2million per. ($16 million)!!!!
His character can be easily written off; several FReepers have offered great replacement storylines.
The true ensemble characters were Evelyn, Berta, Alan, Herb and Jake. Charlie simply had to provide the straight lines which required a few facial expressions and some timing.
The writers create the show. Sheen’s success was by proxy.
Sheen - what a loser.
The kid isn’tmuch of a kid anymore they need to find a way to write him out.If there is a mother still alice she should come back to get him and at the same time perhaps a surprise kid could show up.Dear uncle so and so what ever Sheens character name was could die in a car accident and one of the other guys friends could be suddenly widowed and need a place to stay....perhaps bring gthe new kid in with him? Introduce someone who’s been out of the dating sceen since the 1980’s...lots of funny stuff there to write about.
I always liked the grown sons’ mother, and the housekeeper best of all. Jon Cryer is fine but yes, the kid is way too old now to be of any value to the show. WB could find another “Charlie,” I’m sure, if need be.
Otherwise, just cancel the show altogether!
Ted McGinley, call your agent!
Charlie created his own “Jump the Shark” moment....
Gotta keep up more (but for the life of me, don’t know why): He’s down to one “goddess” now and currently taking applications for the second. I kid you not.
The certainly is a Win/Win in this for somebody...
A new series perhaps?.....”Charlie versus the world?”....
I adore “The Middle”. I watch almost no TV - we don’t even have cable - but I watch that whenever its on.
Actually, Herb, the ex-wife’s current husband, could assume a larger role. He’s pretty darned funny in his own right. Allen and Herb would make a funny pair since they’re both pretty pathetic characters.
What is it with everyone coming down on Sheen? Sure he has some drug and ego issues. Still, he role on the show is pretty darn good and nobody else could pull it off like Sheen.
