The sooner they vote, the sooner the maggots will disperse.
The scum is going down.
can’t get the page to load, maybe need to rebooot
It’s probably crashing from overload of hits...I can’t get on either.
Try this. They were doing some live coverage earlier.
I am on www.wiseye.org right now. Insane Barca rambling about how the Republicans have broken down democracy in Wisconsin. Huh? What the h is he talking about? They missed the vote because they were hiding in Illinois for 3 weeks!
He states they are cheating the people of Wisconsin and he is calling for “people of conscience” and that the speaker’s “judgment is impaired”. They are all cracking up.
plays after the Ad.
wiseeye.org not very reliable.
Would someone please tell me why every news report calls these collective bargaining “rights”? It is not a right. I e-mailed a local radio station asking them to not use rights when referring to collective bargaining of public workers. What word should they be using instead?
Neither could I.
But you can see the idea here. You have a bunch of faux unionistas occupying the Wisconsin State House because they believe this will inculcate fear among the citizenry and they will flee to the protection of the unionistas.
This ignores the fact the citizenry had very recently ELECTED the legislature, not the unionistas, to run the state.
I suspect the unionistas have injected enough fear into the body politic that folks are pulling their guns out of the closet and cleaning them "just in case" ~ and they will not be turning those guns on the Governor and the legislature, but they might well intimidate the first teacher who says something they don't like.
Go Rep Jeff Fitzgerard GO! He looks pissed.
Good live stream here”
yeah, it’s CBS but it’s a straight stream of the floor.
If you are looking for the common phrase, collective bargaining agreements are how they are usually known.
collective bargaining privelege, perhaps?
collective bargaining responsibility?
Now he’s reading a death threat email that he got.
Well shoot they dropped it while I was posting.
Didn’t fit the CBS template.
Well shoot they dropped it while I was posting.
Didn’t fit the CBS template.
An Ad plays for 10 seconds before it goes live.
Well m, the problem has been that republican elected officials HAVE run for protection so as not to be cast in a bad light by the drive-by media. They blinked and the unionistas won.
Praying they stay strong despite the union goons and especially the media perfidy.
No word needed. It's just collective bargaining period.
The Dem-libs stick the word "Right" or "Rights" at the end of everything to give gravitas and legitimacy to their stupidity and make it appear as if it is God-given.
WHEN this passes and is signed, does this mean the state will no longer collect the union dues? will those members have to pay their dues THEMSELVES?
Yes—I think that is correct. State no longer will collect and funnel Union dues.
Yep, don’t you love it?
Brain washing tactic to control the debate.
That’s a right to work issue, I believe. I don’t know what WI status on RTW is.
Blonde dhimmicrat up spewing praise for the unionista protestors. Donna Siedel.
She says they’ve observed peaceful protestors, orderly protestors being dragged out of the building. Guess she’s been looking at some other protest. What a tool.
Thanks, great responses all. I can always depend on my fellow Freepers. This will help me on my quest to set people straight. ;-)
Oh puke, some commie is saying the protesters are simple working people in wheel chairs.....
Seidel says they’ve been appalled, alarmed, outraged and heart-broken (sob!!) over republicans actions.
They need help for WI to become proud again. barf.
Very good. I’ll add that to my list.
It’s not a right, it’s a privilege.
Rep Scott Sudder now saying this show is political theater, he’s hammering the Dems
The “right” to Free Association has been coupled with collective bargaining. So I am told that the bargaining part is also part of the rioght to free association. However... we need to take into account that the PUBLIC sector is ABSOLUTELY differnt than the private sector.
So..maybe that’s why the following statement was made...
It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government.
That statement was made back in 1955 by the former president of the A.F.L.-C.I.O George Meany. Up through the 1950s, unions widely agreed that collective bargaining had no place in government. But starting with Wisconsin in 1959, states began to allow collective bargaining in government.
So the poster above is right. Wisconsin has had a long history with the unions.
Regardless, every state should heed the A.F.L.-C.I.O. Executive Councils 1959 advice: In terms of accepted collective bargaining procedures, government workers have NO RIGHT beyond the authority to petition Congress a right available to every citizen.
And it should be further noted that FDR said, “All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management. The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations. The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress. Accordingly, administrative officials and employees alike are governed and guided, and in many instances restricted, by laws which establish policies, procedures, or rules in personnel matters.”
Legally, stating that “collective bargaining” is a RIGHT is a notion implied by those who have supported this sort of insanity for the last 50 years.
Republican Scott Suder saying that the movement to recall the Speaker is political theatre.
He is telling that the rules have been followed.
These people need to get their facts straight before they open their mouths. Otherwise, they will be accused of lying.
Suder says they had the longest continuous debate on this bill in state history...60 hours. Says the speaker allowed for all that debate, allowed for the joint finance to go on for 17 hours. That he didn’t have to, but he did.
Points out the running away of the senate dims, compliments the assembly dims that stayed at their work.
The scenes I’ve been watching are rich white kids on spring break from UW. The really smart kids are on the beach in Florida! There are very, very few older people in that mob.
Sudder says the vote will happen in two hours.....
Anybody know how the assemblymen finally got into the capital building? Did the police finally clear a path for them through the smelly anarchists?
Barca up whining and obfuscating.
Some commie in a red shirt speaking now.....
The commie is babbling about cutting off debate....
My aren’t these libs a bunch of whiny little female dogs.
I just heard on local radio they did a security sweep of the Capitol building and had to drag about 100 protesters out.
Sudder back up calling the commie a lier, in so many words.
Great!!! Less than 10 minutes after that, Gov. Walker should have it signed. I just hope and pray they have all their Is dotted and their Ts crossed because, you can bet the farm, the unions thugs and Obama team will be getting a judge to overturn it the minute it gets signed.
