WASHINGTON (AP) -- Nine Army officers are being reprimanded for leadership failures in connection with the shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, and their failure to detect and report problems with the accused shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, as he moved along in his medical career.

Saying that although no single event directly led to the tragedy, Army Secretary John McHugh found that certain officers failed to meet expected standards, an Army statement said Thursday. The officers - all lieutenant or above - will receive punishments ranging from an oral reprimand to the far more serious written letter of censure that is considered a career-ender.

Simply amazing! You create a culture of "ethnic diversity" where you punish anyone who reports something bad about "a minority" and then you punish them further when they don't do anything that might have made the minority appear in a bad light.

Catch-22. I must be insane.

“What a crock - those guys were not allowed to say that a Muslim ...”

Once upon a tim in America a Man understood his responsibilities and did what he damn well had to in order to continue to be able to look in the mirror and consider himself a Man.

The feminization of the culture continues apace.

What a crock - those guys were not allowed to say that a Muslim was incompetent just like we are not allowed to say that Obama is incompetent. Telling the truth brands you as a racist. Their careers would have been over.

As opposed to now? Never be complicit in the crimes of your superiors in any venue -- if they are amoral enough to sacrifice you on the altar of political correctness they will certainly throw you under the bus to save their own skins.

This is just absolute insanity. If someone told me this in conversation, I wouldn't believe it. I still remember what happened to LtC Anthony Shaffer and the Able Danger Team for speaking up about factual evidence that wasn't PC.

Any officer that had dared to speak the truth about Hassan would have jeopardized their own career. Now they are being used as scapegoats.

When Zero was elected, I got yelled at by FReepers for saying that I would not join the military service with Zero as my CIC. I stand by my original statement.

Great. Now that they’re figured out who to blame, can we put this guy Hasan on trial please?

Wasn't Curt Weldon shown the door on that one?

You kept track on that one, that I remember.

"Wasn't Curt Weldon shown the door on that one?"

Retired Admiral and ultra liberal Joe Sestak was heavily financed by the Clintonistas in an all out effort to remove Weldon from congress before he could mount a full investigation into the Able Danger scandal. Sestak who lived in Virginia moved to Pennsylvania for the purpose of opposing Weldon.

Ironically, a big mover and shaker in the Sestak victory was secret document thief Sandy Berger.

Most recently Sestak has been involved in another scandal involving bribes offered to him by high ranking members of the Obama administration.
