Japan's meteorological agency warns that a tsunami as high as 20 feet (6 meters) could strike the coast near Miyagi prefecture, closest to the epicenter.

Could be 20ft!

Well, they have a different approach than Los Angeles. I hope Japan’s worked for them.

In any case, both Tokyo and L.A. have the best Earthquake resistant building codes in the world.

wow, that is twice as fierce. Each Point on the scale doubles the energy in the quake.

My biggest quake of all time was 7.7, they got me beat by 1.1. Incredible!

Is Washington and Oregon going to be hit, this is pretty big!

USGS NOW HAS IT RATED AT 8.8

IIRC, there have been a few Christian prophetic sources declare the last 20 years . . . that soon after a very devastating quake hits Japan, great traumas will hit the rest of the world.

I don’t believe this is that quake.

However, things seem to be rachetting up toward such events . . .

with increasing rapidity.

>>7.1 aftershock.<<

Not surprising — let’s all pray it isn’t a pre-quake (not unheardof).

As a denizen of L.A., I am praying for my brethren in Tokyo.

As I have mentioned, Japan is the most prepared.

Now I am watching the tsunami flow — HOLY CRAP!!

“Hot” coverage is always difficult. Don’t be too hard on the media. They seem to be on all the scenes now.
