TOTUS says we're getting more oil than ever under his administration? WTF?

Sorry for this...but I was not able to get out of a room where TOTUS and his sycophants in the WH Press Corpse were snuggling up to each other.
The Kenyan Commie actually said we have had a record year of getting oil under his administration.
I find this hard to believe....so what is his undoubtedly perverted angle on this statement? Anyone know?
Of course, I did also notice Hussein got no real challenges from the KneePad Crowd at the White House.

We probably ARE getting more oil than ever under his administration, since oil consumption has gone UP every year that I can think of (the rate of increase may change, but not the fact that we probably use more than last year)
So, the liar is telling the truth by shaping it, probably. Thackney might be a good source...he probably knows it off the top of his head...:)

From where? Surely not the USA. If his lips are moving he’s lyin’.
To: rlmorel
Note that even if oil consumption has gone up, that doesn’t mean we simply aren’t importing more, because we ARE.

TOTUS says we're getting more oil than ever under his administration?Actually, we're getting more oil under the price of his administration. Higher price means higher supply. Once oil hits $150/bbl, oil sand and oil shale refining becomes profitable, and supply increases. If price fell to $10/bbl, you would see US production come to a halt.

Not only that, but obamma claims that since he signed his tax reduction bill a few months ago(btw, the Republicans force that out of him), anyway, the savings we get from that tax reduction, he goes on to say, will be more than enough to pay for the increase in gas prices. (so in other words, live with the price increases since I gave you some of the government money back to you for spend on that)
Arrogant!!!!

To be fair to the electronics, TOTUS was programmed to answer this one more or less truthfully (I think that requires a manual override).
http://www.indexmundi.com/united_states/oil_production.html US Oil production rose from its 2007 minimum through the present, according to estimated production levels from the CIA World Factbook, and I'm sure Obama's CIA wouldn't lie to us.

The EIA energy information ass’n is considered the primary site for all this kind of data. I don’t know whether we are pulling more oil out of the ground than we did yesterday or last year or the year before. If we are or we aren’t how this goofball can claim credit for it is absurd.
The important concept is that this remains an astoundingly dopey thing to say. I mean, we can’t drill because anything we drill takes 7 years to come on line, but as far as sound bites, what’s important is what comes out of the ground today, but that has little to do with what comes out of the ground tomorrow, and the imposition of nebulous and generally destructive limitations and mandates and directives by intellectual masturbators isn’t what gets the crap out of the ground.
The energy business, which I am not trying to convince you that I understand or even know a lot about, is a long term, adult-supervised, high-capital-cost, serious planning endeavor with many, many complications. It is a dirty business with many risks, requiring the assemblage of serious resources and very smart people. It isn’t a stupid rhubarb garden on the South lawn with helpers digging out the ground for you and photographers feting your fat ass every time you bend over and plant a seed.
