Showing no discernible limit to their insensitivity, and seemingly eager to puff out their chests in the wake of their recent Supreme Court victory, the Westboro Baptist Church issued a press release stating they plan to protest at the funeral of the seven Clouse children killed in a tragic fire in Perry County this week. The release is full of bluster over their Supreme Court victory and claims the fire was a result of God's wrath for Pennsylvania. After all, isn't that where the man who sued them for protesting his son's funeral and inititiated a landmark free speech case resides? The release is replete with misinformation about the circumstances of the fire, claiming Mr.Clouse was asleep in his truck during the fire.

If I only had a terminal desease.
This country has gone to shit.
Not new territory for the Westboro Psychotics. They also protested at the funeral of the 9-year-old girl murdered in the Tuscon shooting.
Thank you, SCOTUS.
What is with these people? We need to go union on their @sses and let them know how it feels be protested - day at night, at their homes, etc., and when something happens to one of them, we should a festival at their funerals.
Right now I'm watching the documentary Fall from Grace, which is probably the only exception I've made to exposing myself to more of WBC's idiocy.
The filmmaker does a really good job of exposing the roots for their psychoses, IMO.
There is a special place in hell ...
No, they did not. They were going to, but changed their minds after they had gotten threats
Especially for these creeps
Ah, good. Shows that they can be convinced. ...with the right argument.
What goes around, comes around.
PS - maybe someone’s free speech will trump their free speech. Just saying.
Who’s going to protest at Fred Phelps’ funeral?
Vigilante justice is the logical result when our courts refuse to recognize common-sense standards of decency. We’ve seen it repeatedly in the case of abortion, we see it increasingly as the homosexual rights movement ratchets up its demands, and we will probably see it here too before long.
A previous westboro CULT demonstration ended thus ... and it’s worth repeating.
Someone slashed the tires on the van used by the Cult, and every shop in town refused to serve them, once they found out who they were...
either that, or take the bitches up on their challenge, and meet them with baseball bats.
You know, I was thinking that just the other day. Fred Phelps is going to have the worlds largest protest at his funeral.
Isn’t a baseball bat to the knees also free speech?
It’s a matter of time before somebody targets the Wetboro freaks, for once.
Sooner or later, they are going to pick the wrong funeral to protest.
“Thank you, SCOTUS.”
The supremes were correct but they may be sorry. I would hope that when one of those idiots or anyone supporting them dies, we would picket their FUN er al.
It’s a quandary. On one hand, giving back what he gave so readily; on the other hand, who would protest his passing, persisting in this as he is?
If they do, then I will applaud them
Perhaps all the targets of their bogus protests (along with all like minded folks) should “protest” outside of the Westboro Baptist bogus church and their members homes....24/7.
Hey - protest is protest - just exercising our 1st Amendment rights!
This needs to be repeated everywhere they go
I think their neighbors will take care of them:
I’ll be there.
These are not Christians. Not in the least.
They will go to their reward, but it will not be heaven
Better if the Phelps family had a terminal disease...
But I think I could find a few people to go there, dance and have a PARTEEE!
Bikers are now following these perps everywhere. Find and hang out with them. I'm positive you'll get to meet some really top-notch folks. One of my retired AF buds is in some pack - somewhere.
They will have 13-20 protesters PLUS 6-9 attorneys with note pads and cameras. One wrong move on your part they will take your house.
These people are nothing but leftist freaks trying to make conservative Christians look bad. If they really thought that being queer was bad they would protest AIDS deaths. POSes
I’m familiar with the PGR’s.
I’ll be thrilled to run with them in my ‘cage’....
I’ve seen their MO...
It can be easily turned against them...
The people in that area won't realize who they are unless they are told.
Different people here. Great people but different. Got my drift?
Antique dealers are always driving around looking on porches.
This is one place something could happen because they don't give a damn since they have little to start with.
Exactly right, stevio.
I got your drift....
All the best to you and God Bless.
Hope that you can be there with an army of supporters.
These ‘people’ need to be shown the door.
I'm sure I could find 4 SCOTUS justices who would agree - if the bat was wielded by a union thug...
That sounds excellent
I figure we all need to kick in for a few kegs and have a beer bash at his funeral. Then we can all get in line and pi$$ on his grave.
Fun all around that way. :)
I guess that the attorneys will have to be neutralized also. If they are in support of this kind of BS, they deserve what they get.
For some reason I have a feeling something might happen at this one. This area, plus the HUGE loss of life, and children.
I am totally THERE!
lol. Don’t that give ya a warm and fuzzy feeling deep in the pit of your stomach??? :)
“They also protested at the funeral of the 9-year-old girl murdered in the Tuscon shooting.”
Fortunately, although they initially said that they were going to picket they did not do so in exchange for a radio interview.

A hate group that preys on funerals to spread its anti-gay message now says it won’t appear at the services for a young girl killed in the Tucson shootings.
Shirley Phelps-Roper, a member of the group and daughter of its leader, Fred Phelps, said churchgoers will not picket the funeral of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green, according to Topeka’s Capital-Journal.
The hatemongers backed off in exchange for radio time on 102.1 The Edge in Toronto, Canada, and an interview with KXXT-AM in Phoenix on Saturday morning.
