Victory: Scott Walker signs collective bargaining bill
Hotair ^ | 03/11/2011 | Allahpundit

Posted on 03/11/2011 7:02:02 PM PST by SeekAndFind

He already signed it this morning, actually, but they went ahead with a special public ceremony in the afternoon so that he could sign it again. Just because. Reminds me of Pelosi talking that long walk to the Capitol before the ObamaCare vote in the House, waving that giant gavel around that looked bigger than she is, chuckling all the way. The left keeps promising that Walker and the Senate GOP will pay for this, which may or may not be true. But if and when it does, let these three words comfort you: “Minority Leader Pelosi.”

Meanwhile, the newest tactic from union shills is to send letters to Walker’s campaign donors promising a boycott of their businesses if they don’t now become good little union shills themselves. Reciprocating could be a fun project for Wisconsin tea partiers. Pick a liberal-owned business, essentially at random, and organize a boycott aimed at crippling it. That’s a nasty tactic, but then we’ve spent three weeks of watching screeching cretins try to intimidate and occasionally even outright threaten Republican legislators. If our moral superiors on the left want to fight dirty, we should be sportsmanlike and oblige them. Click the image to watch.

Sign it a THIRD time just to make the unions cry.

Col Scott Walker: “I love the smell of public unions crying..it’s the smell, the smell of victory”

awww - did the earthquake shove the unions great unwashed off the news???

Did any of them show up today as planned and were there any cameras there?

This will definitely put a crimp in their strike and march and shout and threat campaign. We'll be following Japan for some time to come - and I doubt the cameras will bother to go back to Wisconsin after the bloom is off the story.

ahahaha

A better strategy would be to patronize GOP supporters who are in business. I know I do.

Badgers are pound for pound the baddest dudes around, short of their cousin the Wolverine.

This is a great victory for the conservative movement.

Wouldn't it be fun to organize mass Tea Party patronages of any business being picketed by them... get a few hundred Tea Party folks to cross a picket line at once.

“Any doubt that Unions are communists greedy thugs and their actions are proof.”

The most important result of the WI situation is that the Kenyan Pirate publicly sided with the teachers’ unions against the taxpayers AND voters; he tried to undo the results of that state’s governor’s election by forcing taxpayers to foot even larger bills for our public-school-teacher overlords. His supporters among the talking heads admitted a week ago that this was a serious mistake by Obama.

I watched Gov. Walker sign the bill - WHAT was he doing? Looked like he was making little marks with a bunch of different pens? I don’t get it.

Kinda reminds me of the time The Redskins beat The Cowboys in the playoffs with a touchdown at the very end of the game. The refs made The Cowboys come out of the locker room so The Redskins could kick the extra point. Still brings a tear of happiness to my eye.

There was a small mob of the union herd animals on the main corner of a town near me in NW WI this afternoon, timed to get the attention of folks headed north for weekend ice fishing and snowmobiling. Most of their signs were too small to be readable while driving, but I caught two that said “RECALL” and “WALKER BAD FOR BUSINESS” (Huh?).

The pic of him signing the bill has a misspelled word.
He’s right handed. That’s not good.

The unions have fallen silent. They are beginning a recall of the Republicans, and likely prepping for the 2012 election, which ought to have some drama in it.

In Ohio, it's already passed the senate - and the vote in the house is Tuesday -

the dems are 40 to 59 pubbies - I'd say they're toast. At least they didn't run away.

I'm hoping the criminals from WI that ran away to hide, don't come back in time and are fired.

I don't know how the bills are progressing in MI and IN?

WTF?

I wish I hadn’t looked THIS one up!

“Michigan Governor Rick Snyder said he won’t “pick fights” with the state’s employee unions.

“We’re going to go negotiate with our unions in a collective-bargaining fashion to achieve goals..”

RINO?

This doesn't look good either - is Kasich bargaining with the devil? - watering down the bill that just passed the senate?

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/27/us-usa-midwest-unions-idUSTRE71Q2UI20110227?feedType=RSS&sp=true

Looks like there's gotta be some Rinos in the Ohio House that need replacing in 2012?

and in Indiana, same scenario as WI. Will Mitch do the same thing Walker did? Pass the part of the bill that doesn't need a quorum? With the rats out of town - will he pull off a ‘Walker?”

I'm worn out. I think I'm going to hibernate until spring comes (I still have 2 1/2 ft of snow on my lawn.)

No, I didn't compile the list. It's from a Face Book page, They Support Walker Keep Them Open For Business started by a Green Bay talk show host, Jerry Bader. This list of businesses is under the "Info" tab on the right.

You can also "attend" the backyard cookout on March 26.

You can order "Scott Walker My Hero" t-shirts HERE. The shop was targeted by the President of something called TREA (Two Rivers Education Association?). Here's the story on National Review.
