Japanese volcano erupts
Times Live ^ | 03/13/11

A volcano in southwestern Japan erupted Sunday after nearly two weeks of relative silence, sending ash and rocks up to four kilometres (two and a half miles) into the air, a local official says.

It was not immediately clear if the eruption was a direct result of the massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake that rocked northern areas Friday, unleashing a fierce tsunami and sparking fears that more than 10,000 may have been killed.

Yes, underwater volcanoes heat the ocean as well as the land being heated by our molten core.

The link interconnecting the two may be the sun and earth’s magnetic fields.

At iceagenow.com the blogger believes we are at the point in our orbit and precession cycles where our magnetic field is going to reverse polarity, and that shifting is causing the increase in volcanic and seismic activity.

The navigational air control systems of the U.S. are being adjusted now (starting a year or so ago) because a continuing shift in magnetic North has put them out of sync.

Didnt realize we had so many evolutionists here. With all the sarcasm intended its great to see that, despite the fact mega-quakes are up an insane amount over the last decade, we can just throw this disaster in the its par for the course category.

“Americans would demand they be 100% protected from every natural disaster known to man, while hundreds of “scientists” pretend they can meet that demand if the selfish taxpayers would just give them millions MORE in gov’t grants.”

After looting the rubble of anything that hasn’t been destroyed, that is!/s;)

Earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear meltdowns and now erupting volcanoes...what’s next for Japan?

Rosie O'Donnell might drop by. :(

Kinda’ makes you think about “John the Devine” and the “Mayans” doesn’t it? Nostradamus...pick up the white courtesy phone please.

No it doesn't. It just reminds me that throughout the course of any human lifespan, there will be major natural disasters in some part of the world.

The tsunami in Japan is arguably less devastating that the storm surge from a major hurricane striking the Gulf Coast. The main difference being, with this tsunami, there was less warning than would be the case for an approaching Cat 3/4 hurricane.

Think Katrina, Hugo 1989, Camille 1969, Anchorage 1964, The 1923 Tokyo earthquake, San Francisco earthquake 1906, 1883 eruption of Krakatoa.

It may spur advances in robotics and artificial intelligence to replace all the workers. Japan may become the first transhuman society on the planet.

Send it to China.

China will slice it up, relabel it as chicken.

And send it back.

According to one United Nations estimate, it’ll need to import 17 million foreign workers over the next 40 years

Wonder if we could start unloading our illegals on them?? Even if we bought them all plane tickets we would be ahead.
