You cannot make me believe a PFC in the Army had the sort of access to accomplish a leak of this magnitude.

Manning is a fall guy. The way he is being used is completely disgusting and just what I would expect of a dictatorship.

When one needs to find a dumb statement, it’s hard to beat the U.S. State Department.

They crank ‘em out like popcorn.

Crowley's comments about the conditions for Pfc. Bradley Manning at a Marine Corps brig in Quantico, Va., reverberated quickly, from the small audience in Massachusetts where Crowley spoke to a White House news conference Friday where Obama weighed in about the 23-year-old believed responsible for the largest leak of classified American documents ever.

There is no way that any 23 year old PFC should be able to leak all the classified info he is said to have leaked. Either he is being made a scapegoat, or there are some severe flaws in the handling of classified information.

Dunno. How about Boyce in TRW’s Black Vault in California reading all the CIA talk in 1973?

I thought Manning admitted, essentially, that he had done it.

A leftist, eager to deride the military, inadvertently broke the administration's 1st commandment: Thou shalt not speak ill of Obama or his policies.

Obama is a leftist....the leftists are all supporting Mannning....

Obama would love to simply let him go... but he cant because anyone who’s been paying attention knows manning is a flat out traitor....

Thus....watch for manning to get the death sentence and for obama to commute it to time served becuase it’s just too harsh....

I’d take even money on that.

On this thread you’re defending a traitor, and on another thread you’re defending Micheal Moore. You have some strange priorities.

On this thread I am indicating that as a former military officer, it would be impossible to believe a PFC had access to classified information.

On the other thread, I am saying that Goldman Sachs, Paul Volker and the administration along with the banks have ripped off the American people. Just because an unattractive liberal communist Michael Moore has indicated the same belief, doesn’t mean I support Mssr. Moore. Au contraire, I think he is in it for the publicity.

In addition where is the SIPR systems administrator asking about activity over and above the norm...

and where is the PFC's next in command reviewing system logs?

There is much we have not been told about this...

You are exhibiting your ignorance. The term “Evidence” is singular and the verb has to agree with the subject not the object.

Your sentence should say:

The evidence against manning IS his own words.

Kapish? go back to school.

Maybe they can replace him with Monica Crowley.

The case does seem strange--maybe Manning is covering for higher-ranking homosexuals in the military who fed him the material.

It's odd that the most pro-gay administration to date is supposedly mistreating a gay suspect. Homosexuals are one of the few categories of Americans Obama actually likes (along with minorities, union members, feminists, abortionists, Muslims, and anti-American radicals).

Gus, what are you saying? It is evident he should have used a singular verb? If so, you are correct. And clever.

Or, evident is the singular noun? If you are saying evident is a noun, you are wrong. Evident is an adverb.

I dont care what you “believe” ,Manning has admitted he did it...even why he did it...

We know manning is the source.

C'mon guys- clearances are handed out by the hundreds. Having a Secret clearance is really not uncommon, TS is less common, but still easy to get. No one reviews system logs. All the administrators care about is keeping the system operational so the commander can access the internet. I left Ramadi in early January. If the unclassified white line went down, it was almost considered a mission stopper. Not so much with the NIPR/SIPR system.

There is much we have not been told about this...

That is the crux of the issue. Some "leader" was not doing his job.
