When good men do nothing we're sliding from a First World to a Banana Republic
March 14, 2011 | Joe Lynch

In spite of overwhelming evidence that only one of Obama's parents was an American citizen thus making him ineligible to qualify as a natural-born-citizen a conspiracy of silence has swept across the political landscape. Is it possible that an entire country was 'punked' by a Certification of Live Birth and we have a usurper in the White House?

The courts refuse to hear the case on its merits and politicians avoid the issue like the plague. Not one governor, senator, congressperson or judge has investigated or even questioned the issue. Only one man, an Army doctor, went to the mat and questioned whether Obama met the eligibility requirements set forth in the constitution. For his efforts, Lt. Col. Terry Lakin MD was sentenced to six months in the slammer. He's in Leavenworth because he was sold out by timid politicians, judges, reporters and his own lawyer.

Some claim they remain silent because they're afraid there will be riots in the streets if the truth comes out. This isn't a Banana Republic yet and we're a long ways from Egypt or Libya. If the president is removed from office the vice president will take over. Having Joe Biden as president isn't all that scary -- we've done a lot worse.

To paraphrase Edmund Burke, "When good men do nothing we're no longer a First World but sliding toward a Banana Republic."

You good men (and women) out there need to ratchet up the pressure and demand that Congress investigate why Obama is spending over $1mil to hide a birth certificate worth less than twenty bucks if he has nothing to hide?

Indeed.

Even the more recent “report” that states the military is too white and male. Funny, I’ve known a few black officers, and none of them ever complained about that. They expect the best and demand the best, period.

Regarding Ft. Hood: Why hasn’t Maj. Hassan gone to court-martial yet? It’s been a year and a half!

hmmmmm yes....how is it all of the general officers have become traitors by violating their oath to uphold the Constitution? It is incumbent that if you have relatives in the military, to ask them now what they will do when ordered by the traitors to move on American civilians. Remember, we have trained our military quite well how to go after terrorists. The “citizens” the military will have to subdue will in fact be labeled “terrorists” by their government and the mass media. Union “freedom” brigades will be brought to bear to oust neighbors and citizens who harbor any animosity to the exahulted ruler.

For every true American who will fight, they are hundreds of sheep that will just want the security of the new controlling state.

Knowing anything of history at all, only a fool would think it couldn't happen here.

The US Military under Mullen and Gates already has supported the imposition of a military dictatorship within the US. Look at Northcom and the “fusion” troops whereby the military and police work together.

We are still under martial law by act of Congress giving Bush that power. Posse Commitatus is no longer in effect as long as we are under the national emergency declared after 9/11 relating to terrorism. Congress was supposed to review it, but they refuse to do so. Obama is just waiting for/planning an event to take over before elections.

As a conservative I don't think we should damage our currency.)

It's already 'damaged'.

Feel free...

I’d be happy to see the New Sons of Liberty storm and occupy the Hawaii Department of Health records section, then search to their hearts’ content. But I don’t believe they’ll ever find the “real” birth certificate we all seek.

The “written notation” that Abercrombie found in the records, in my paranoid opinion, probably says something to the effect of “name changed to Barry Soetoro upon adoption” and therefore Obummer no longer officially exists.

One way or another, the truth will eventually come out. It always does.

Boehner sent me a questionnaire (asking for money of course). I filled out the stupid thing and then wrote in what you said in so many words. Not a dime from me until the Republicans man up and take down these Communists in the Democratic Party, Obama and Pelosi especially, for what they did. They are liars. Their words mean nothing.

Big O is in no hurry. Big O is in no hurry for anything that brings stress and he will be really stressed if Hassan has to sleep the big sleep.

Then he will have to make the decision to commute. (Or has that decision already been made?)

What part of ****”highest”**** military officers don't you understand? Hm?

These **highest** military officers were despicable in letting down and failing to supporting LTC Lakin, Major Cook, and Captain Rhodes. Their questions were legitimate. And...LTC Lakin testified in his court martial that he was told by these **HIGHEST** military officer that, Yes, indeee, his concerns were reasonable.

Sorry...But after these **HIGHEST** military officers let down their troops concerning Obama’s eligibility I conclude they would have no interest whatsoever in defending the Constitution against domestic enemies. They simply can NOT be trusted to do that.

While the **highest** military officers might fall on a grenade for their men in a battle against a foreign enemy, I am NOT NOT NOT counting on them to defend the Constitution against a domestic enemy.

In the unlikely event that I should come into contact with these **HIGHEST** military officers, I will turn my back on them. I will shun them.

As for our **brave** and honorable troops, they deserve better.

So, combat leaders are not high ranking? What are high ranking to you? You are aware, right, that high ranking officers are many. . .right? That high ranking officers serve around the world in many different areas and in some dangerous places? But yet, because they are successful, earning their rank through the last meritocracy in America, they earn your scorn.

Nice to know.

I guess you know more officers and enlisted than most and have far greater insight as to their levels of professionalism, education, dedication, ethics, at all ranks.

And, without even knowing who the officer is, the high rank earns them scorn from you, regardless of their history, regardless of their courage and sacrifice, regardless of where they serve and in what position. Nice broad brush you have there.

Hmmm . . .is that you, Jane Fonda?

No more from me to you. You are more than welcome to have the last word.

Since you invited;

a) No, it is clearly not,

and

b) You broadly impugned high ranking officers—not defining exactly who qualifies as “high” ranking—and were called on it. Instead of qualifying your remark, you hide behind the “everyone knows what I mean even though I didn’t say what I mean” defense.

Your apology is accepted.

Have a nice day.
