Single-payer system stunts their growth.

Life is not precious to those who put financial matters ahead of conscience. My own sister, who is a Socialist, is angry with her MIL for not wanting to sign a DNR. I told her ‘maybe she’s not ready to go yet’. The MIL is ill but retains her mental faculties. I was speechless at my sister’s lack of conscience. But I am being redundant. My sister is a Socialist.

Yes. She was telling me that ‘responsible people sign the DNR when they are fully competent’. I told her my husband and son would never ‘pull the plug’. They are pro-life. My sister’s MIL is elderly and has serious health problems but she still is mentally clear. And I am being ‘irresponsible’ for not signing a DNR myself. The Culture of Death still has lots of control with Zero still in the WH.

PS-She also threw out ‘elderly people use entirely too much of our health care resources’. I should have pointed out to her that she is now 56. That term ‘elderly’ is creeping up on her fast. I wonder how all these Socialists will feel when they are the burden?

This is such wonderful news that this baby will receive the medical attention his parents wish.

I was at the New Cathedral in St. Louis this past Sunday for the “Rite of Election” and shook Archbishop Carlson's hand. I'm sure he was instrumental in accomplishing this. He is going to be a great leader for St. Louis.

Life is not precious to those who put financial matters ahead of conscience.

I agree with you, but from what I've read about this Baby Joseph case it seems that the Canadian doctors refused to do the tracheotomy because it isn't really an effective "treatment" for the child at all. I think the only purpose of it is to enable the child to breathe without a ventilator.

I think that the real problem we are looking at here in this case is that it isn’t whether the procedure would help or not, but whether the parents have a right to determine the best way to treat the child. They understood that the condition was fatal and wanted to have his last days at home. From what I understand, they were even willing to pay for the procedure themselves.

When Obummer care is in full swing in the USA we will be facing the same issues. We will not be able to determine our own treatments even if we are willing to pay for them ourselves. God help us.

No one should be pressured into signing a DNR. It should come from their conscious will and of their own volition.

I have a friend who is 100 and will turn 101 in three months. She has a DNR but that only about as she years ago proclaimed that when death approaches, let it happen. She is done.

She has since lived an additional 8 years and apart from a broken hip and some minor health problems that required hospitalization, she living quite well, with blood pressure better than most over the age 40.

I hope she makes it to her 101st birthday just for the fun of it.

I hope your friend makes to 101 as well! My grandma and dad both had a DNR; they both were of the opinion that God would decide if He was ready for them yet. It (the DNR) was also totally their decision. No one in the family would have dreamed of telling them it was something they needed to do.

As it should be.

Personally, my friend must know where she is going when she dies and is just trying to put it off.

Or

God wants her to do more work here and he ain’t done with her yet.

I thank God for her.
