Skip to comments.Why did the press ignore murderous rampage just outside nationís capital?
Posted on 03/16/2011 7:40:54 AM PDT by La Lydia
On February 10, 2011, Prince William County police arrested Jose Oswaldo Reyes Alfaro, 37, after he allegedly went on a shooting and stabbing spree which left three people dead and three others wounded. When he was taken into custody, the Salvadoran national had in his possession, a machete as well as a .38 caliber revolver...According to Manassas Police Chief Doug Keen, the suspect was ordered deported in 2002, but was never detained by federal immigration authorities and never left, despite two more arrests after his deportation order....
After only a brief mention the day after the attacks occurred, this case disappeared completely from newsrooms across the country. Why would the American press simply ignore a case in which a man running through the streets of a Washington D.C. suburb with a machete and a gun, left innocent victims both dead and severely wounded in his path?
Are the facts considered too gruesome for human consumption?...Could it be the fact that this case may demonstrate more clearly than any other to the American people why it is so important to fiercely defend our borders and actually enforce existing immigration laws?
Or, could it be as Virginia state Delegate Jackson Miller (R-Manassas) described it, the day after the attacks, when Del. Jackson said: Its another abject failure of the federal government. Now we have three innocent victims in my city, about a mile from my house theres a murderous rampage. I am furious.
Yet it happens over and over and over again, and then we have to hear all of these apologetic excuses as to why we shouldnt be addressing criminal illegal aliens on the state or local level. Its just disgusting....

I’ll just assume the headline writer meant this as a rhetorical question.
“Just doing the shootings/stabbings that no Americans want to do.”
Thanks for posting it. I missed this story.
Because the US news media is a hostile, subversive entity.
as soon as it’s discovered the shooter listened to Rush Limbaugh once, it’ll be 24/7 coverage..
Were his victims Salvadorans or maybe gangbangers from other walks of life? Just curious.
-Brenda Ashcraft, 56, pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds;
-William Ashbey Ashcroft, 37, died in route to the hospital;
-34-year-old woman, gunshot wound, survived;
-15-year-old girl, gunshot wound, survived.
The Brent Street location
-Julio Cesar Ulloa, 48, pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wound;
-77-year-old unidentified woman, suffered stab wounds, severe lacerations to the head, survived.
There is no more “press”. The MSM is a propaganda machine. Pay no attention to them.
Too bad illegal aliens don’t register to vote as Republicans. Then the press would be all over this.
Just another day in the suburban urban sprawl of the nation’s capitol. Given there is a sanctuary state (FREAK state MD) and a sanctuary county (Fairfax) right there this is just expected. Multiculturalism...isn’t it wonderful?
Thanks, the link is blocked for me. And yes, my schedule is a bit busy so I do appreciate your effort. ;-)
/do I really need an s tag?
........and TOTALLY CORRUPT!
I wonder if this murder was a fan of the movie Machete? About Mexicans killing Americans with machetes and guns?
LL - good for you to keep this on the front burner...
another example of MSM bias/neglect/cover-up/call it what you will...
My son ran Corey Stewart’s campaign when his position was for deportation of illegals who were arrested...how’s that going for Pr Wm Co these days? Stewart took a lot of crapola from the lib illegal lovers during the campaign...
Not too long ago, I went to Potomac Mills (used to be my fave when living in No VA) and thought I was in Tiajuana...cripes!
I’m certain that illegals and foreign immigrants are doing some horrific things but it’s made sure those crimes are never reported. Don’t want to disturb the “Diversity is our strength” and “Cheap labor” apple cart.
sadly, deportation wouldn’t have mattered. he’d have easily returned. unless and until our borders are EFFECTIVELY secured, our sovereignty is held by little more than a VERY costly and deadly revolving ‘door’.
i think the neighboring state of insanity, also know as maryland, the senate there has approved gov’t funding for illegal immigrants college education:
and guv’nuh o’malleable will sign it.
the criminal political jerks are aiding and harboring criminals.
build the freaking 2000 mile wall NOW
bus them all back to latin america NOW
arrest all illegal alien criminals NOW
and make them work while jailed.
this whole issue has me to the point where I HATE politicians, they are on the whole less-than worthless they are destroying our country.
If unions want to do something good for America and themselves,then the unions would be demanding enforcement of the laws forbidding illegal labor and immigration.
The base cause of illegal immigration,like illegal drugs, is a whole lot of greedy Americans who care only about their own short-term thrills.
It basically reveals how powerless Federal Gov’mt really has become when they can no longer perform their job.
Basically DC sucks money out of the states..and increasingly does whatever it pleases.
Good question. I was thinking about that myself.
I wonder how many fellow FReepers are even aware of this movie (just another body-blow in the Left’s war on America)?
Now that didn’t hurt so why don’t you simply post the entire article so we don’t have to visit a MySpace page?
What are you talking about? The Examiner site falls under the FR excerption rule: you can only post so many words when you start thread. Are you unfamiliar with the way that works? And I don’t understand your reference to MySpace. I don’t use it.
Did I miss it?
we went to the Cox cable office to return some equipment, and we were the only white people in the whole place. We could just as easily been in a store in Quito, or Islamabad.
Just try posting from it without excerpting.
No, I don’t visit MySpace Blogs but since you do why not ask the Mods or Jim why they aren’t on the list?
La Lydia’s link goes to an article on the Examiner, not to a blog.
I think she’s just following the posting rules.
