Public safety is non-negotiable. That’s the message signaled Tuesday by lawyers defending the Big Apple's fire department from race-based bullying by the U.S. Justice Department.
Justice is trying to make the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) hire more minorities even though FDNY has taken extraordinary steps to recruit in black and Hispanic communities. The Obama administration, still unsatisfied, ramped up the pressure by demanding admissions quotas for interim hires and extremely low standards on fire-academy entrance exams.
Bowing to Obama wishes, U.S. District Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis created a complicated, multistep process to ram through more minority admissions, effectively forcing a hiring freeze while it all plays out. In February, Obama lawyers proposed an order for the judge to award damage payments, retroactive seniority and benefits accrual to several classes of minority applicants - some of whom missed as much as 70 percent of the questions on a basic firefighter exam.
City attorneys haven’t rolled over. In Tuesday’s answer to the administration’s proposed schedule, they sent notice that the order setting such low standards is off base...

When "Obama's people" get jobs they are unqualified for this means Caucasians guys are denied jobs they are qualified for and they won't find another job that pays as well. If this was the 2005 economy at least there would be other good jobs for these Caucasian applicants

It isn’t just Caucasian men denied these jobs; Asian men (a growing part of the NY/NJ population) are shut out as well. The pie certainly is shrinking, and nobody should sit idly by while their way of life and the future of their children is destroyed by these racist criminals.

The Asians are getting their piece of the pie, the old-fashioned way: they bust their asses for it. They also know the dangers of having their offspring assimilate into slack-jawed, long-haired American sloths with offensive T-shirts. Their family units/culture should insulate them well against the lethargy that has infected many Americans, and political correctness is alien to them.
Even if the left has to go “Abraham Lincoln” on their asses, there is no way the fringe (literally - the coasts and the upper midwest) let go of the productive regions.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)
Founded in 1975 as a not-for-profit, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation’s preeminent Latino scholarship organization, providing the Latino community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. During the 2007-2008 academic year, HSF awarded almost 4,100 scholarships exceeding $26.7 million. In its 33-year history, HSF has awarded in excess of 86,000 scholarships, worth more than $250 million, to Latinos attending nearly 2,000 colleges and universities in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
American Indian Graduate Center Scholars (AIGCS)
AIGCS, a non profit organization, was established in 1969. Founders Robert L. Bennett (Wisconsin Oneida) and John C. Rainer (Taos Pueblo) created a program to assist American Indian college graduates to continue their educations at the master’s, doctorate and professional degree levels. AIGC was founded to help open doors to graduate education for American Indians and to help tribes obtain the educated Indian professionals they need to become more self-sufficient and to exercise their rights to self-determination.
Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF)
APIASF is based in Washington, DC, and is the country’s largest non profit organization devoted solely to providing scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander Americans. Since its formation in 2003, APIASF has distributed more than $730,000 in one-time scholarships to high school students in the United States, the Freely Associated States and the U.S. Territories who are entering college for the first time. APIASF also is the administrator of the Gates Millennium Scholars/APIA, which provides outstanding low-income Asian and Pacific Islander American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline they choose. Supporters of APIASF include members of the general public and a wide spectrum of community and professional leaders, organizations and corporations.
You can only wonder if New York firefighters (and cops) scratch their asses and wonder why they vote Democrat, and why their unions support Democrats. I’m not counting on a sudden jump in collective IQ or anything, but there must be at least a few...
