If you can’t beat ‘em … fake ‘em out? Two Democratic Party leaders in Michigan face nine felony counts after prosecutors allege that they forged documents to put fake Tea Party candidates on the ballot. Unlike other schemes where Democrats allegedly recruited candidates to run on ersatz Tea Party organization identities, these “candidates” had no idea they were on the ballot at all, some of them only discovering it after receiving delinquency notices on filings. Fox News in Detroit reports that the grand jury is still probing the matter and that there may be more indictments coming:

This is going to get interesting. If I recall correctly money for petitions and paperwork filings were traced back to a union rep.

The thread from last night.

Moderate Democrats, if they exist, should launch their own party.

That’d be worth donating to.

Former Oakland County Democratic Chair Mike McGuinness and former Democratic Operations Director Jason Bauer face up to 14 years in prison if convicted.

What do you want to bet our DOJ and Mr. Holder find a way to not pursue the matter. That is what emboldens these criminals.

We won’t hear much about the complete story from the media. (Ever wonder where Pravda went when the USSR collapsed? It is alive and well in the good ole USA...our media.)

Do you really expect that being in prison will stop them from voting? Heck, dims vote from the graveyard.

“Dilute the opposition vote.”

Watch Dems in open primaries go heavy for Romney.

Operation Chaos for the left.

A Romney nomination would bring on a REAL Tea Party candidate.
They wouldn’t need a fake one.

I imagine they did this in all states since we got a bunch of RINOS in office as well as Dems.

It would be real interesting if a federal grand jury took a look at this under RICO and combined it with what happened in Washington State, where a democratic political consultant ran astro-turf campaigns and made political contributions from the local service union and the trial lawyers so that certain “bad democrats” would loose the primary and “better democrat” candidates would advance to the general election.

The political consultant in WA state is being charged with State crimes for setting up dozens of Political Action Committees and using Trial Lawyer and union donations to go from one committee to another to another then to another all with the intent of hiding the source of the money until after the primary elections were completed. The State's public disclosure laws require reporting sources of campaign funds and they were “partially reported” as a Pac, but then the next reporting perior showed that the astro-turf (fake grass-fake or non-grassroots campaign) campaign really got money from a different source. Then the next reporting period you could trace the money back a little farther, etc.

I think that the Dem's lawyers (remember it was partially money from the trial lawyers association) is looking nationally how to “game” elections. I think that rather than focusing on recounts, they want to control elections by manipulating primaries through the use of fake candidates.

Actually, IMHO, neither one look intelligent enough to have schemed this up. There must be someone higher pulling the strings on this one...Can you say “patsy”?
