Oh, yeah, you can believe the experts because they told us the truth, that Corexit use in the Gulf was safe, and that fluoride, aspartame, high-flutrose corn syrup, and GMO foods are good for you. If I were living on the West Coast I’d run out to the shore and take big deep breaths because next they’ll be telling us radiation supports good health.

There is NO amount of external radiation that is ‘normal’, or healthy, etc. for living bio-mechanical systems...

We live with 'background' radiation all the time; the uranium that has been here since the formation of the Earth is continually decaying. As long as man has lived on the Earth, there has been radiation in his environment.

If you live in PA, you live with higher background levels of radon, because of the rocky nature of the landscape, and it concentrates in the basements of homes. There was a big scare about it back in 1987, but all it meant was that at a certain level, the radon increased one's chance of getting lung cancer, but ONLY if one stayed in the basement, exclusively, for 25 years, which folks didn't do, in their day to day living.

Here is a chart that shows at what levels the radioactivity begins to be a problem for the people inside, or very close to the plants. The farther one moves away from the plant, the more dispersed, or less concentrated, the radiation becomes, and the less danger it poses.

So you’re going out to the West Coast or over to Japan, and breathe real deep, roll in the grass, eat the food out of the crops, and let us observe how healthy you stay, eh?

Good grief! Folks on the West Coast of the US are in NO DANGER at this point, at all! As for Japan, outside of 100 miles, or so, from the plants, there is also no immediate danger. Even in Tokyo, there is no radiation danger. The news has shown folks walking around in masks, but what the news doesn't say is that, in a typical winter, LOTS of Japanese wear face masks. It's considered extremely rude and insensitive to NOT wear one, if you have a cold, because your sneezing and sniffling might pass your illness along to someone else, especially in the crowded atmosphere of large Japanese cities.

The crops in the immediate vicinity of the plants were likely ruined in the tsunami, and Japan is testing to see if the remaining ones, even hundreds of miles away, are showing any increased levels of radiation.
