State police captured a “sexually violent predator” from Milford who was freed despite being convicted last year of aggravated rape, rape and abuse of a child, and indecent assault and battery among other offenses, according to state records and state police.
Brian M. Addeo, 32, cut off his GPS tracking bracelet Friday in a Tewksbury parking lot and tossed it in the back of a pickup truck, state police said. Addeo remained on the run until last night, when the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension team captured him in Augusta, Maine, state police said.
“We’re thrilled we got him,” said state police spokesman David Procopio. “He’s a serial rapist, and he had to be taken off the streets.”
In 2002, Addeo was convicted of rape and abuse of a child. In April 2010, Addeo was convicted of aggravated rape, rape and abuse of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child, and other charges, according to the Sex Offender Registry Board.
Nonetheless, state police said Addeo was free on lifetime parole and was being monitored by the GPS bracelet Friday when he went on the run. State police described Addeo as a “sexually violent predator.” It was unclear last night why Addeo had been allowed to remain free when he was a repeat sex offender with multiple convictions.
“It raises my concern,” said Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early, who was reached at home last night. “But I’d have to know more about the facts of the release before commenting on it.”
Procopio said troopers found Addeo at a rooming house on Water Street and he was captured without incident. When asked why the public was not notified last week that a dangerous predator was on the run, Procopio said, “because we were following up on other leads. Today we developed information that he had gone out of state, and the investigation reached a point where we needed to ask for the public’s help.”

Sex education teaches perversion as normal, so that their natural defense to the unnatural can be destroyed. Christian ethic is also destroyed and the Bible is made into “hate speech”. Sex Ed in school does this.

one Winchester SXT, .45 ACP, round cost around 50-60 cents, depending on where you get it. its obvious this guy is beyond rehabilitation and given the gravity of his crimes, i’d rather spend the 60 cents then pay a weeks worth of overtime for the cops that were chasing him, the cost associated with him having to go back to court and housing him in prison...but, it is kind of messed up that the police didn’t put the word out sooner, he could have done some real damage while they were following up on their leads. they got lucky in that respect.
I wish the POS judge who let this guy roam free had to live with him.
