My kids watch some of the shows on our local PBS station. I have yet to see an amber alert on that channel. Period.

There ought to be serious repercussions when an elected official LIES this blatantly.

Muir, that’s a kickass point, and I totally just ganked it and put it on my Facebook. (I did credit you, so maybe it’s not 100% gankage.)

Peloebbels. She is nothing but a fascist who wants government able to indoctrinate the masses.

She is only for the slavery and mind control of the children like Lenin who destroyed the marriage contract then instituted day care so he could get children away from the corrupting ideology of the Christian parents. Mass conditioning and brainwashing into her allowed “group-think” which is the most perverted, sick, nihilistic ideology that has every killed millions of useless idiots...who were dumb enough to believe in the utopian promise. POWER...it is all about POWER over the masses. Wake up people......the Constitution outlaws this mass indoctrination.

Where are these little towns?

The opposite is probably true because even in moderate sized cities the PBS stations and NPR stations are usually under-powered university stations that don't reach very far. Here in central virginia we can't get PBS because it only reaches a few miles and we are outside it's very small perimeter. We couldn't get it when we were in rural va either for the same reason.

PS: We didn't miss it.

The left is seriously threatened by any tampering with their efforts: 1) to progandize in support of socialism (NPR and other propaganda media such as NBC, MSNBC, CNN, the LA Times, the NYT, etc.), 2) indoctrinate children into their ideology (NPR, public schools), or 3) fund the left (forced dues to unions).

You can predict strong reactions to any actions that might threaten one of these three efforts.

Conservatives are weaker than the left in each of these three efforts which largely explains why the unpalatable ideology of the left is able to be as successful as it is.

Pelosi is an airhead. NPR does nothing that can’t be managed by non-government radio stations. Taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for Socialist drivel, not when we can get it 24/7 on ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBCWPNT....

Back in the early 80’s when the Coast Guard sent me to a cutter in beautiful Kodiak Alaska the only radio was NPR. Hated it. After a couple years a local AM country station went on the air. It wasn’t stereo but it sounded wonderful to my ears! Yee ha!

I wonder if this is part of the CR? If not it is a joke on us.

HR 48 Passes 271 - 158 by the House on Tue, and no: defunding NPR, OBAMACRE, EPA, and PLANNED PARENTHOOD was not part of HR 48.

AND YES this is a joke on the sheeple - it is no more than political theater.

It does too reduce the deficit. Not by much but .....

Pelosi is about as dumb as Sheila Jackson Acornhead. Her braids are too tight and Pelosi’s face is too tight.

Yee ha!

I actually like classical and jazz and can't stand listening to NPR because they pick the weirdest, dumbest stuff the nobody in their right mind would listen to on purpose. It is all picked for ivory tower intellectual, elite reasons - such as the gender of the composer or the color of the composer's skin - and has little to do with music for music's sake.

It makes me nervous listening to it and the classical experience especially should be just the opposite. And they NEVER play joyous music. It is all squeaky chamber crap. I swear they are trying to kill the classical music experience in America and, based on the health of the symphony orchestras, they are succeeding. This is a tragedy and I'm not exaggerating.

You there, in the minority party, stand down.

Who cares what she has to say. She isn’t the top dog in the House any more. So STFU, SanFranNan. You’re time is over.

Somebody who abducts a child would probably be a NPR listener anyway.

Your logic is certainly superior to hers.
