Visitors are supposed either to have health insurance or pay themselves for hospital care in Britain. Thousands flout the rules, however, with £7million being owed to London health trusts alone. Damian Green, the immigration minister, said: ‘The NHS is a national health service not an international one. ‘If someone does not pay for their treatment we will not let them

Pay up or die.

As it should be. Do you thinkthat peopleought to get health care - a commodity - for free? What about televisions, and cars? Think they shouuld be free too?

Just think of all the illegal free loaders in the united states and how much they steal each year.

Of course this is the UK, with full socialized medicine foreigners are told "pay up or die".

In the US, absolutely all foreigners are given unlimited free health care, it is illegal to refuse them.

We definitely need a UK like system so we can deny health care to the conniving bums (that would be US citizen taxpayers trying to get around their local death panel).

Unfortunately, in the UK, the citizens are denied treatment for the same reason. They just call it “rationing”.

Just go to any hospital in the United States of America 24/7 and they are there. Disgusting.

***‘The NHS is a national health service not an international one. ‘If someone does not pay for their treatment we will not let them...***

It started out that way. Much as we do now with illegal aliens. Anyone in England got free health care. Sailors from all over who needed false teeth waited until they got to England and got them free. An American I was told about who was visiting there had surgery and when he asked for the bill, he was told there was none. Also, doctors were still making housecalls. The English thought it was all so wonderful. Now, even the English are suffering badly from national health care.

Imagine if the UK was not in the neighborhood it is now. You know Ireland, France, Netherlands, Norway, you get the picture. Imagine in its neighborhood was Mexico, Haiti, Guatamala, El Salvador. NHS would have imploded twenty years ago. They would have stayed a private insurance system. So imagine Obamacare in our neck of the woods. Health tourism, more like health stampede.

Had British girlfriends in the U.S. married to Americans who went back to Britain late in their pregnancies and delivered their babies there for free, then returned to the U.S. Glad Britain is cracking down, wish the U.S. would do the same with our illegal alien population here in the states. Another relative went back to Britain for a holiday and had here dental work done there for free. Unfortunately, they cracked her front tooth while working on a filling and had to remove it, and she spent her entire month’s vacation with a missing tooth right in front (kinda’ ruined that trip!!!)

Also, doctors were still making housecalls.

They still do, if a patient can't get to the surgery.
