Officials: US Missile Attack On Libya Prepared

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. prepared to launch a missile attack on Libyan air defenses, but American ships and aircraft stationed in and around the Mediterranean Sea did not participate in initial French air missions Saturday, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the unfolding intervention.

One official said the U.S. intends to limit its involvement - at least in the initial stages - to helping protect French and other air missions by taking out Libyan air defenses.

An attack against those defenses with Navy sea-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles was planned for later Saturday, one official said. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of military operations.

Obama is consistent regarding his administration's Mid-East Policy. The Muslim Brotherhood, which has access to Obama whenever needed, must be protected at all cost because Hussein Obama clearly believes the only problems in the Middle East are Arabs with aspirations for real freedom and the existence of Israel.

That said it is very interesting to watch Hillary play POTUS in Paris while the empty suit is stumble bumming in Brazil without his teleprompter.

‘initial’ air missions? What was the first air mission, taking pictures? Oh so the first plane that flew over wasn’t an American one? What about the second one? Who shot the first missile?

But that won't be reported by our State Run Media which will parrot the official line; just like Hillary Clinton said that coalition forces would fire on Qaddafi forces firing on civilians. What's a civilian? I suspect a civilian is anyone not a Qaddafi loyalist, including those with their own tanks, planes and helicopters firing on the Libyan military.

Isn’t there a general rule that in war you don’t announce your plans in advance to the Associated Press? What is going on here?

It's the "progressive" way to wage war - speak firmly and say you're going to lay a whipping out, then fold once the bluff is called.

Of course, the flip side is that "progressives" will leak national security secrets to sabotage this Nation because they hate it so much.
