Palin rips Obama energy policy as 'social engineering'

During her first foreign trip in 2011, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) slammed President Obama's green energy policy as a "social engineering" project that hurts the U.S. economy.

Palin -- a potential 2012 presidential candidate -- said that she favors an "all of the above" energy plan that includes domestic oil drilling and nuclear power. Without mentioning it by name, she criticized the Obama administration for restricting domestic drilling and said that his green jobs agenda is fatally flawed.

This push for green energy at the expense of conventional, reliable sources is not a credible energy policy," Palin said during her address at the India Today Conclave in the capital city of New Delhi.

...rattling off her accomplishments as governor..

Journalists just can't resist trying to somehow inject a diminishing word or two in their descriptions. Why not use proper terms when writing? 'listing her accomplishments... etc.

It's because perception is everything and the use of 'rattling' gives the perception of a bimbo.

Our politics should end at the waters edge.

Does that just apply to the pubbies?

Does that just apply to the pubbies?

I'll repeat myself so I don't have to double post.

Now that he's gone, are you trying to become the urine-aunt replacement?

Sarah Palin (R) slammed President Obama's green energy policy as a "social engineering" project...

Did she expound on this (clever; accurate) point? Hoping she does so in ensuing months.

Our politics should end at the waters edge.

If you want to fall for the writer's premise that honest critique of policy is "slamming the President," that's your business.

Green jobs and green energy are not feasible outside of gov't mandates, gov't subsidies, and left-wing environmental activism. That's not "slamming" the President or anything, it's an honest assessment of policy that Palin was invited to speak about.

Another anti-Palin meme shot down: That she supports green energy. All of the above clearly refers to nuclear power, coal, natural gas, oil, and maybe geothermal. Ethanol, wind, solar, and skittles crapped from unicorns are nothing more than Kabuki theater.

Do you mean like it did when Bush was in office?

</heavy sarcasm>

Why don’t you buzz off troll! Palin didn’t disrespect the President-she didn’t even mention him by name - if someone has a different opinion on what is going on in the U.S. then she has a right to speak out about it overseas

When did that happen???

I guess I have noticed a slightly lesser degree of PDS on a couple of recent Palin threads.

Thursday. Pissant made a crude lesbian comment involving Sarah Palin and Tammy Bruce.

It was the last straw.

Pissant hates Palin more than the rest of us hate Obama.

Which is why she speaks in general terms, rather than mentioning the opposition by name.

And I believed she used the line "I don't want to bore you with American politics" several time for the same reason.
