Hillary Clinton's siren call for Sarah Palin
Politico ^ | March 18, 2011 | POLITICO STAFF

Sounds like Hillary Clinton wants a Mama Grizzly to be president.

Clinton said Friday that it's time for the United States to join South American countries in electing female presidents. Only problem for Clinton — she's ruled out another run herself, so the only other options right now are the Mama Grizzly conservatives Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.

I am betting one nickel now that Hillary switches to the Republican or tea party, and supports a Palin/Bachmann ticket. She would bring a big chunk of the democrat party with her.

(humongous exhale....)

Hoo boy... I can't even fathom what sort of drama that would create in US politics. Sarah's running for president, alone, is going to create a tidal wave of support and excitement among center-right voters for her candidacy. But - if Hillary were to come out and endorse her too???

The mind boggles...

Obama would probably lay right down and die. LOL

Are you hedging with a dime that she doesn’t?

Will her switch to Republican/Tea Party include a switch in her world view?

Do you see her shedding her views on infanticide/gay marriage etc? Or would we be expected to just accept her as is, false witness and all.

Good thing you are only betting a nickel :)

I think something’s up with HRC and Our Lady of Wasilla.

In an environment where every living Democrat and damn near every RINO tosses bombs at Sarah - the Clintons, Lanny Davis, the lizardhead, McAulliffe never have.

Strange, huh?

Mr. Noble... you sir, are very, very observant.

FDR once remarked that, "in politics, there are no coincidences." I think you've just spotted one of those non-coincidences.

Very interesting, indeed.

I suspect that Zer0 put the Hildebeast in as Secretary of State for the purpose of sabotaging her chance at the Presidency. We don’t know what really happened between Zer0 and the State Department and many of us would have loved to be that fly on the wall. We can only speculate. However, there is something that has generated bad blood between the Clintons and Herr Zer0. I suspect that there is a disdain for a do nothing, know nothing, ill equipped “community organizer” who is out of his pay grade for leading the Free World.

Take for example Bill Clinton’s call for more drilling for oil: Former President Bill Clinton said Friday that there are “ridiculous delays in permitting when our economy doesn’t need it,” acccording to attendees at the IHS CERAWeek conference. Clinton also agreed with the Bush policy on domestic oil production: Bush said all the things you’d expect him to say” on oil and gas issues, said Jim Noe, senior vice president at Hercules Offshore and executive director of the pro-drilling Shallow Water Energy Security Coalition. But Clinton added, “You’d be surprised to know that I agree with all that,” according to Noe and others in the room.

I think the last few years have put the Hildebeast through a real stressful time in her life. And all of her effort has brought her to the realization that it caused the sabotaging of her chance to go further with a bid for the Presidency. For we see, as the world events are showing us, that under the Hildebeast (and with the help of Herr Zere0), the State Department has been a failed organization. Of course, we will blame Hillary for the failure it has become and Zer0 will have accomplished what he intended by putting her in charge.

The Clintons don’t do or say anything without purpose. Their actions, and their comments, are well calculated. Like one must do in a game of chess, they are calculating the future moves of their opponent, as well as their back up move.

Zactly. The first 'couple' to each have served as POTUS. As a bonus: Hillary becomes the first female president (it wasn't Sarah she was talking about in her comment). They figure it's Sarah and she beats Obama like a rented mule since he's failed in all respects except passing Obamacare. The misery index will be off the dial. She's the one who will decimate Sarah in the debates, so she thinks.

Hillary arrives on the scene to rescue the Dems wearing all of her recently awarded medals (senator, SOS) and padded resume in hand. Obama tipped his hand with the 'one term' comment. Now, he'll just have to take one for the team. The part I haven't figured is how he makes his exit to make it look unplanned.

I think that any time Politico is speculating on the candidacy of any conservative we can bet that it is only some way to discredit the conservative. Perhaps they are hoping to tarnish Palin by making it seem like Palin has something in common with Hitlery.

BTW, last night, March 19, we attended a dinner for our county’s Republican club, and there was a presidential straw poll among the attendees. Results: Romney (aack!), Palin, Christie. They did not announce how the numbers broke down.

barry would NEVER take one for any team.....in his mind HE is the team! I WON...not WE won.

When I look at him and hear of her unwillingness to run, I see him gone. That is, either actually dead or so bad off physically the energy and drive are gone. The fight requires stamina that I don’t think he possesses any more

Hell, she was always pretty much too. I think this SOS job is the first time she’s ever really had to show up someplace and do something. (hence how drained she appears all the time now). However, next to Obama she’s a workaholic, especially now. And nobody likes a slacker when they have to actually work.

When she was Senator, didn’t she say she wouldn’t run for President?

New Yorkers never believed that promise, but voted for her anyway, twice, for Senate prior to her run for the Presidency. I'm not sure she wants to run for cleanup squad after 0bama. Those 3 a.m. phone calls aren't all they're cracked up to be. I'll bet she has a revenge plan, though.
