Graham: Obama acts as an 'inconvenience'
Politico ^ | 2011-03-20

Posted on 03/20/2011 8:32:20 AM PDT by rabscuttle385

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says President Barack Obama should be more confident in his statements about wanting regime change in Libya.

Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," Graham said that he's concerned the president is acting as if “leading the free world is an inconvenience.”

“I’m very worried that we’re taking a back seat rather than a leadership role,” Graham said. “The president has caveatted this way too much. It’s almost like it’s a nuisance. This is a great opportunity to replace a tyrannical leader.”

Graham, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said that this is an opportunity to get rid of Libyan leader Moammar Qadhafi and finally try him for his role in atrocities like Pan Am Flight 103, the Lockerbie bombing.

“He should be branded for what he is,” Graham said. “Replace this international outlaw sooner rather than later.”

Is this a girly man telling another girly man to be more manly?

Gaddafi must be quaking in his curtains by now...

Since we started a war we had better finish it. I don’t understand why we didn’t target qadaffi and his sons at the bunker. If we don’t finish this thing international terrorism is bound to come back from libya....

According to the Left, that would be Dick Cheney

Obama is an affirmative action slacker. He wants ‘all the glory of achievement without, like, any of that inconvenient work-like stuff.’

Amen to that! He'd been targeted by Al Qaeda many times in history. I think you'll see Gadaffi quit the war against Al Qaeda and try to appease Al Qaeda with financial support and anything else he can give them. For him it's survival.

Note: Libya was one of the un-named nations helping in the war against Al Qaeda.

Replace him with what or whom? Has anyone thought this thing through?

I don't believe anyone has thought this through . Now that we have helped France secure the oil flow will we next be obliged to pay for the damage we helped cause ? This is another huge asset drain .

Who brought this jerk back out of the woodwork. He needs to be targeted for defeat in the next election for his seat. He has done more damage to the Republicans. An absolute sleaze ball.

Just what we need another useless, winless war in the Middle East to suck up our taxpayer dollars. So, whom may I ask is going to replace the murderous dictator? Likely, one just as bad but with an Islamic fundamentalist anti-US attitude. What a crock!!!

Graham is as chameleon as Obama. He can produce the language on a dime that charms the socks off conservatives by its pin point accuracy. Then he dumps us over with plenty of triumph when he pals up with the liberals and sidekick McCain. Together they will negotiate away everything we want to stand for.

Let us not forget Lindsey Graham at election time.

Thanks for the ping Martin.

Wow, Linda, you almost sound like a conservative.

You really shouldn't bother. The proud folks of South Carolina know exactly what you are and what you stand for. We are keeping a lengthy list. That list and the details will be spread over the state like pine dust come 2014. You're outta luck, pal.

Too bad Miss Lindsay isn’t as eager to go into the failed Narco state of Mexico and clean out the Cartel mess so our Southwestern ranchers can sleep in their own houses at night. The corrupt Mexican leadership is as bad as Mommar.

I question that Obama is the leader of this pack. It seems to me he is but a follower of the Brits and possibly the French.

Although it would be natural for him to be the leader, he is not. The Euros are intent on the re colinization of Libya for the oil I think. There must be a lot more there than a measley 1.9 million bbl per day
