Urgent Message from CA Assemblyman Tim Donnelly

* Action Alert

UPDATE: THE NEW DATES ARE APRIL 4TH AND 5TH! See below.

Patriots,

Yesterday, as the Vice Chairman of the Assembly Higher Education Committee, I sat and listened to over a hundred witnesses in favor of Assembly Bills 130 and 131 (Cedillo). Witnesses consisted of tax-taking unions, pro-illegal alien activist groups, dozens of unapologetic illegal students whose educations we subsidize, and the UC and CSU system representatives, as well as numerous campuses of Community Colleges.

What did they come for? Were they coming to say, “Thank you” to the hardworking taxpayers for providing a better life complete with free healthcare (at your expense), free K-12 Education (at your expense), free food (at your expense via CalFresh the new name for Food Stamps), free cash (at your expense via welfare payments for their US born children through CalWorks)?

Sadly, the answer is no.

Instead, they stood up to ask for more. In fact, many declared that they “deserved” more. Assemblyman Cedillo has pushed this idea for 4 years now in an effort to expand the illegal’s rights to include, not only the right to go to one of our taxpayer-supported colleges or universities at a discounted rate, but also to apply for the CalGrant, a privilege denied even to citizens entering from another state.

Not surprisingly, every Democrats voted to hand out TENS OF MILLIONS of your hard-earned tax dollars to illegal alien students, at the same time that budget cuts have left your child’s spot in college in jeopardy.

This is baffling to those of us who thought there was a budget deficit of $28 to $30 Billion. I guess we aren’t supposed to worry, because I was told in committee that the illegal immigrants who have no right to work in our state will eventually get jobs (presumably when they succeed in passing a California-based Amnesty for illegals), so this extra government spending is actually a great investment of our scarce resources.

If you disagree, as I do, you can make your voice heard.

Yesterday, there was one lone witness standing up to this massive fraud perpetuated on you while you were hard at work. My wife, Rowena Donnelly, bravely stood up and acted as the sole witness for the taxpaying citizen, and the legal immigrant.

I am inviting you to join your voice with hers.

After Rowena finished speaking, even radical leftist UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau, who made over $429K in 2009 and spoke in support of these bills, turned to Assemblyman Cedillo, and said, “That took courage.”

We cannot be silent as we face the worst recession since the great depression, a budget deficit approaching $30 Billion and a ruling party that voted unanimously to expand the pot of money available to illegals from in-state tuition to financial aid.

Where is our courage? Who will stand with me to fight this insanity?

I introduced Assembly Bill 26, modeled after “The Arizona Law” to, among other things, end sanctuary cities, empower law enforcement agencies to verify legal status of anyone who is arrested and suspected of being present in the US illegally, require mandatory use of employment eligibility through federal E-verify system, and make it a felony to engage in the smuggling of human beings.

On March 22nd, the California version of the Arizona Law will be heard in the Public Safety Committee at 9am, and we need your support! The hearing is open to the public and we want you there.

Call your Assembly Member, your Senator and the Governor and tell them you oppose AB 130 & AB 131, which gives illegals the right to receive financial aid from the State of California.

We need every freedom-loving citizen to show up on Monday, March 21st at 4 PM on the steps of the Capitol to support my Assembly Bill 26, the Secure Immigration and Enforcement Act (otherwise known as SEIA).

Governor Brown has indicated he will sign this expansion of spending on illegals and he wants you to pay for it. Right now, he is pushing the Legislature to raise your taxes instead of cutting services to illegals.

If you think there is something wrong with that, then let everyone know about this, and take action!

Show up and make your voice heard! Please pass this on to every supporter on your e-mail and Facebook list. Call it in to every radio show you can. This is an urgent plea; I am calling all Patriots to stand up and be counted in Sacramento!

I will see you on the steps.

TIM DONNELLY ASSEMBLYMAN, FIFTY-NINTH DISTRICT

Has anyone ever noticed they have these hearings during the day when hard working tax paying legal citizens of this state are at work. Then they bus in illegals, idiot college students and their over paid professors to speak and protest. No matter what we do, Moonbeam Brown will sign this piece of crap budget busting bill into law.

How many working-day demonstrations is a person who has to support their family supposed to attend?

Just curious.
