NBC Nightly News ^ | March 22, 2011 | self

Posted on 03/22/2011 3:57:21 PM PDT by musicman

Brian Williams just reported MORE oil is "appearing" in the Gulf around Louisiana.

IMHO, This is REALLY REALLY "timely" with gas approaching $4.00 a gallon and NO DRILLING yet by Obama!!!!

The only “prop” the reporter forgot was dead baby dolphin footage.

Otherwise it was a typical “Well...can’t drill in the Gulf safely anymore, can we??” hit piece.

Is this related to a story I read on this website site a few days ago, which people said looked like it came from a suspect website, related to a 100 mile new oil slick in the Gulf?

If so, what is actually going on here? Is the BP well leaking again, or is this a new one?

I’m in the dark here.

I agree!!!

It’s just WAY too convenient with Barry getting hammered about drilling and gas prices skyrocketing and him in Brazil making oil deals with Soros backed companies.

Let’s see:

Nuclear = Radiation Plume
Oil = Oil Slick
Coal = Global Warming
Natural Gas = Polluted Ground Water
Windmills = Ugly Powerlines and Scenery
Solar = Ugly Scenery and Endangered Species
Hydro = Lost River Valleys

Our Future:

Freeze in the dark, close to home, eating berries and squirrels.

There was actual air footage shown of “part” of (what Brian and the reporter claimed) the 40-100 mile long “slick” and at least two “interviews” with boat captains saying they saw it and it might be like the last spill.

I’m fairly confident not everyone in the US is as gullible as big brother and the environutzis would like to believe. Eventually, cities and states are going to start saying “F this” and go their own way.

Big brother can’t push national suicide forever and expect people to just keep going along.

I am out here now. I flew out this morning, and noone can figure out where the slick came from. I would bet that its coming from some dredging operations. That would mean that its coming from the oil that sank from the BP crisis....

You are correct with every lefty excuse however I have to disagree with Our Future prediction.
The left would never let us shoot squirrels or pick berries.

The ultimate goal of the lefts anti energy stance has always been depopulation through starvation.

Examples include Ukraine in the 20’s, and Cambodia in the 70’s.

And didn’t he just give THEM permission to drill in the gulf too? I remember seeing something to this effect at Business Insider...

Oil, tar balls wash ashore on Louisiana coast
Tests will determine its source
Tuesday, March 22, 2011
By Mark Schleifstein
Staff writer

Emulsified oil, oil mousse and tar balls from an unknown source have been washing up on beaches from Grand Isle to West Timbalier Island along the Gulf of Mexico, a stretch of about 30 miles, a Louisiana official said. It was still heading west Monday afternoon.

The state is testing the material to see whether it matches oil from last April’s BP Deepwater Horizon disaster.

Oil spill response workers under direction of the U.S. Coast Guard and state officials were scrambling to block more of the material from coming ashore. ES&H Corp. has been hired to oversee the cleanup.

Yeah, I know. Reminds me of when the EPA dredged up a couple of rivers feeding lake Michigan, to clean them up.

They poisened all the fish in lake Michigan. Turns out, sometimes you should leave the sediment alone.

This my be off the wall but I wonder if this isn’t the same oil from the BP spill that they settled to the ocean floor using COREXIT. Maybe the COREXIT effect is wearing off due to dilution and the oil is now rising to the surface.

Shallow Gulf well is source of mysterious oil sheen near Grand Isle, state official says

Tuesday, March 22, 2011, 6:22 PM Updated: Tuesday, March 22, 2011, 7:18 PM

NOLA

A large sheen of oil that has confounded the Coast Guard and state officials for days has been traced to a well-capping accident about 20 miles southwest of Southwest Pass, a state official said.

A state official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of a continuing Coast Guard investigation, said the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries traced the emulsified oil to West Delta Block 117. He said tests by a state-contracted lab confirmed that was the source of the oil.

Wildlife and Fisheries officials found the source of the oil Monday evening and encountered workers in a boat trying to restore a cap on the well using a remotely operated submarine.

"Well-capping went out of control," the state official said. The well in question is

in shallow water, about 210 feet deep, but the specter of any well-capping accident comes at the worst possible time for federal regulators, who have just approved the first four deepwater drilling projects since last spring's BP oil disaster -- mostly predicated on the oil companies' assurances that they can now cap their wells quickly in case of a blowout.

end snps
