[South Texas:]Teenage girls allegedly trafficked to work as prostitutes in Rio Grande City
The Monitor ^ | March 23, 2011 | Jared Taylor

RIO GRANDE CITY — Three men allegedly raped and abused Mexican girls brought across the Rio Grande to work as prostitutes.

Rio Grande City police uncovered the alleged sex trafficking ring during a March 17 traffic stop. Federal authorities have opened their own investigation in the case, as well.

But the local criminal charges lodged in the case allege that the juvenile girls — as young as 13 years old — had been brought into the city to work as prostitutes and were sexually abused by their smugglers, as well.

Arrested were Juan Antonio Garcia and Juan Chavarria, 25, who were found riding with a 13-year-old girl and did not have identification.

Police called in U.S. Border Patrol, as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who took the girl and her purported captors into custody.

The 13-year-old girl told investigators she and the two others had been smuggled across the Rio Grande from Camargo, federal court documents state. The girl said she was being kept at a beige apartment along Chapote Street in Rio Grande City.

Garcia, 31, told investigators he met the 13-year-old girl at a bar in Camargo and worked with a friend to smuggle the three girls into the United States.

Authorities also arrested the man purportedly guarding the stash house, Jorge Eutacio Martinez, 45, who allegedly held the girls at gunpoint and kept them from leaving the property, the federal complaint states.

The three men face human smuggling charges in U.S. District Court. Federal authorities have not publicly identified the case one involving human trafficking, which carries stiffer penalties for suspects convicted of holding people against their will to work, often as prostitutes.

As an honorable conservative gentleman, you are obliged to assist 13-year-old girls in truoble regardless of their immigration status.

This 13 year old girl was forced to cross the border by armed men, held against her will at gunpoint, and forced to submit to rape.

You sir, are a complete bastard if you are saying "tough shit" to a girl forced to endure that.

So very sad for these children. What frightens me as well is the concern that many young teen girls just start disappearing from U.S. streets to fill an order. Need some more bodies, go out and just grab them from the local elementary or middle school. The government, both RINO’s and DEM’s, have allowed the U.S. to be infiltrated like a cancer and have no concern for our safety. IMHO.

Just an off the wall comment, but they wouldn’t be bringing them here if there wasn’t a market. I wonder who the customers are?

Don’t know if you’ve noticed, but our friends from across the border have a taste for little girls. Most of her “customers” are probably illegals, too.

The customers are often illegals working in American fields. They drag these sex slaves, often underage, around to the shantytowns where the male illegal farmworkers stay, and get a little of these guy’s paltry dollars.

There was a show on TV about this. One young teen told her story, and she was working in her parents’ litle restaurant in Mexico when the pimp comes in and compliments her work, tells Thr parents she could earn a fortune in El Norte waiting tables there. I think some green may have crossed the table too.

So they send her, he gets a bunch of girls, and immediately once Thr pimps/ smugglers get these sweet, innocent girls away from the parents, they are locked up, repeatedly raped, then smuggled into the States, kept in a prison- house, often right in our cities somewhere in our G-d-forsaken ghettoes that are nearly unpoliced, and then taken around to these farms for forced sex with the workers.

Somehow this girl managed to escape.

Unfortunately, I think it sets a precedent--how long before 13 year-old American girls are kidnapped and taken back to Mexico, to be trafficked and sold?

“The 13-year-old girl told investigators she and the two others had been smuggled across the Rio Grande from Camargo,”

She was forced

Except that it says she was smuggled. Lots of illegals willingly choose to get smuggled across the border. Nowhere in the article does it say that anyone was forced to enter the country illegally.

What happened to this criminal after she got here is her own fault. Perhaps if more illegals were subject to such treatment in the US, fewer would come here.

This girl is a victim, not a criminal.

“Martinez was formally charged with unlawful restraint”

For those of you in Rio Linda, that means the girl was (as she was being smuggled across the border) being held against her will.

“What happened to this criminal after she got here is her own fault.”

Because 13 year old girls deserve to get kidnapped, unlawfully restrained, raped, and prostituted?

There are many sicknesses in many different cultures, but what sick culture produced YOU?

What part of the guy/pimp smuggling her being charged with unlawful restraint are you having problems with?

You think coming to the USA to service men was HER idea?

She, no doubt, wanted to go home - to the parents who as likely as not sold her into sexual slavery. But I suppose that was her fault as well?

Well no kidding. Guess what, lots of illegals who enter the USA illegally complain about the same exact thing. Perhaps next time they should plan to enter the USA legally instead.

Hit the link, you will see in the extended article that the man/pimp she was with was charged with unlawful restraint.

In other words, she was the victim of unlawful restraint when they crossed the U.S. border - she was being held against her will.

That you are too lazy to do so, or too idiotic to understand what “unlawful restraint” means, that is hardly my inability to provide you “proof” that she was forced (unlawfully restrained) to cross the border.

I will type this really slow, since you seem to be unable to understand what I am saying.

First, unlawful restraint is NOT the same as forcing someone at gunpoint to enter the USA illegally. Restraint, for those of you in Rio Linda, means being confined to a specific place. Crossing the border illegally, by definition, is not restraint.

So again, could you please provide proof, any proof, that this criminal was forcibly smuggled across the border into the USA? Or are you going to continue throwing tantrums?

Tantrum is an apt description of your “my criteria is what it is and I hold my hands over my ears and go Nah nah nah to anything else” stance.

She was unlawfully restrained by the guy/pimp arrested who was with her after they all crossed the border. She said she and other underage girls were smuggled together. This was not her choice - and so the guy arrested was charged with unlawful restraint.

In other words -take a second to calm yourself and think about words and what they mean - she was being unlawfully restrained when she was taken by the pimp across the border.

Nice to know that if someone kicks the shit out of you and puts you in the trunk of their car and hauls you around for awhile that you wouldn't consider yourself “unlawfully restrained” because it wasn't “being confined to a specific place”.

Again, I am not questioning the restraint. I am asking you, for what is it, the 6th time now, to prove to me that this person indeed was forced to cross the border. If you don’t want to provide me with proof, just say so and we can move on.

What charge do you think would accompany said “forced to cross the border” of said 13 year old girl if not an “unlawful restraint” charge of the man forcing her to cross the border?

What do you think the charge of “unlawful restraint” means?
That she wanted to go to the bathroom but he said no, or that she didn’t want to be in a truck with two pimps crossing the US border?

I will give you time to think about it.

The unlawful restraint charge in this case only applies to the actions taken by the perp after the criminals involved illegally crossed the border.

So again, for the 7th time. Can you please provide proof that the girl involved, who by the way is an illegal, was forced to cross the border or not.

“The unlawful restraint charge in this case only applies to the actions taken by the perp after the criminals involved illegally crossed the border.”

Where is there any evidence to support this?

It seems that she was unlawfully restrained AS they crossed the border.

She was held as a material witness to the crime of unlawful restraint.

So what “actions” of the perps/pimps do you say involved “unlawful restraint”?

The article makes it very clear that these girls were held in the US against their will. What it doesn't say is if they were forced to enter the US against their will. For all we know, they could have been lured by the perps with the promises of a "better life" and went with them willingly.

So, for the 8th time, were they forcibly brought into the US or not?

For all you know.

Yes, in other words you don't know.

A girl held at gun point was smuggled across the border with other underage girls and is held as a material witness for the charge of unlawful restraint - and you don't know that she didn't cross the border willingly - but decide that if she did - she deserved what she got.

The girl, 13 years old, is a victim in this. There is no evidence that she was anything OTHER THAN a victim in this. It wasn't her idea to become a whore in America, otherwise she wouldn't have had to be held at gunpoint once she got here.

You seem to think these perp/pimps are so benign that they actually asked her OPINION on if she wanted to be hauled across the border and prostituted.

What a mixed up delusional world that must be. Where pimps ask a 13 year old girl if she WANTS to be hauled across the border and held and gunpoint while she is pimped out.

I haven't heard mention of the immigration status of the 11 year old girl who was recently gang raped in Texas.

Do you contend that if she was here illegally that she is a criminal who got what she deserved?

Maybe the gang-rapists were doing a community service in making sure fewer will come here, if this is the treatment they will receive.

SICK SICK SICK!!!!

“What happened to this criminal after she got here is her own fault. Perhaps if more illegals were subject to such treatment in the US, fewer would come here.”

Yes. Absolutely. Completely. And if that was the policy, and if it were made known to illegals here that they would have no benefits of protection of law enforcement, many would think twice about coming here. Besides, there are many legal US residents who are victims of crime too, why should law enforcement resources be taken away from legals to benefit illegals? These are the same illegals who drain just about every other public resource at the expense of legals (both US citizens and foreigners who are here legally). Do you think that illegals should be getting yet another freebie at our expense?

I have no problem with using any weapon at our disposal to keep illegals out of here.

So an 11 year old girl deserved to be gang raped if she were here illegally, she should get no police protection - even if it involves getting violent criminals who victimized her off the street - and apparently gang rape is a “weapon at our disposal” to discourage illegal immigration.

Wow is that sick.
