Should be interesting to see how the producers handle interviews when they promote the film and the pro-American message. ("No, no, no, we don't mean North America.")

Check BigHollywood.com for a review of the trailer and in you’ll see that the director has already tried to deny that Steve Rogers (Cap) is overly pro-American.

Hollywood crippled the receipts on 'Superman Returns' with 'truth, justice, and all that stuff'; and they are going to damage the box office on this one with more of this PC bullsh*t.

Guess they didn't learn anything from 'Iron Man'...

Overseas promotions, I believe, are emphasizing his identity as “The First Avenger” and downplaying his Captain American identity.

Hollywood makes more money overseas than they do in AMERICA so don’t expect any Chinese, moslems or Sudanese to be portrayed as bad guys anymore—ever.

Pro American after pearl harbor. who would’ve thunk it.

My Blog coming out soon will be an answer to this film and the drawing I saw after 9/11 with Cap crying over the twin towers. My Graphic novel will show the real Cap, politically incorrect the way all real Americans are and Country loving.
Stan Lee who didn’t create this character or any other of the Marvel superheroes, is another one who got mixed up w/ the klintons, the America haters.

Marvel is full of liberals that cant write forCap after 9/11. all the stories were how it was our fault and we asked for it npr mentality.

not my Cap.

While Stan Lee certainly didn't create Captain America, he did create many of the major Marvel characters. I don't have any idea where you got the idea that he didn't.

You might dislike his politics (and let's be honest, you will have a hard time finding a conservative comic book writer or artist), but he is pretty much the creative entity behind Spider Man, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, X Men and The Hulk. That's pretty much the core Marvel line up.

The Red Dawn remake, in the can and ready to release, has been digitally re-touched to change all references to being invaded by the ChiComs to being invaded by *North Korea*.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Will they use the old cartoon show theme song?:

When Captain America throws his mighty shield,

All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield.

If he’s led to a fight and a duel is due,

Then the red and white and the blue’ll come through

When Captain America throws his mighty shield.

Frankly I’m looking forward to Green Lantern, but I have a feeling they miscast the lead role.

Same here.
But I have to admit that, as far as the trailers go, the Captain America’s was worlds better than the Green Lantern’s.

Heck, this fan-made trailer is better, and he was editing & reusing scenes from other movies:

And I think that is mainly due to a miscasting and frankly a miswriting of the main character..

This actor is a good actor for a comedic lead, but Jordan was never the character this actor tends to play. It seems like its an instance of writers writing the role with a particular actor in mind for it, rather than relying on the source material, and then finding an actor better suited for the material.

I think you’re right; one of the videos/articles I was reading on Reynolds as Hal Jordan said that he’s be a better fit for the Flash, and I think he’s right. From the small bits shown in the trailer Ryan Reynolds *would* be a better Flash.

However, Reynolds isn’t a *bad* actor and might be able to pull it off. Kinda like DeFoe as the Green Goblin, not my first pick but he did the role quite well, IMO. Sometimes actors don’t get to show-off their skill because they get too pigeon-holed into a certain type of character; most people think Robin Williams does comedy well but, and many will miss this, he is an excellent actor in serious films as well.

Jack Kirby created the marvel universe.
since jack left marvel the only other characters were created by other artists.
When Jack went to DC comics he created New Gods which was then stolen by Lucas for Star War.

When stan the man was asked to reinvent the dc universe origins the books failed miserably.

And Spider-man was stolen by Jack from his old partner Joe Simon (The Comic Book Makers-Joe Simon)

look for the comics journal interviews with jack and roz kirby.

By the Way i was a student of Will Eisner. That’s where I got my information from.

Yes they did make cap a lib and Jack was a lib. but cap became a lib after he was frozen in ice for 20 years, ice will do that to the brain.
