Too early. Palin won't be one of the first to declare and if I had to guess, she'll be one of the last to enter the race. Be patient.
Who do you hope does run?
What do you need to hear from Palin in the way of cutting the budget?
Who do you hope does run? ... upsdriver
Well, just a wild guess here, but, assuming that Unique does not want Barack Obama to be reelected by a landslide of Biblical proportions in 2012, could the answer possibly be:
"A Republican that does NOT already have 70% of all voters believing that he/she would NOT be a good President"?
Here is how Sarah Palin does outside of the Echo Chamber of the Palinistas who tolerarate nothing less than unquestioning and blind adoration of Saint Sarah on Free Republic:
U.S. News and World Report online poll, March 24, 2011
Would Sarah Palin Make a Good President?
A.27.94% Yes
B.72.06% No
This is how Sarah Palin did in the February 2011 FOX News poll:
FOX News Poll (February 7-9, 2011)
Question 3: I am going to read you a list of names. Tell me if you think that person would make a good President or not.
Sarah Palin:
.................YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of
ALL...........23%.......72%.........4%.......1%
Dem ...........7%........87%........5%.......1%
Rep ...........40%.......56%.......3%.......1%
Ind ...........25%........69%.......3%.......1%
Donald TrumP? :)
Failed Governors who quit halfway through their term for “legal difficulties” and who set records for increased spending during their very short time in both offices they held, certainly do not meet any of those attributes.
No need to read further...
Sarah Palin, driven by principles, not daily sophomoric polls.
Will you respond to my post, you didn't on the last thread.
Carter was up 53- 37 over Reagan in Dec 79 and got beat like a drum in the election.
I know you suffer from PDS, but get a new graph.
True, she will lose. First, I like her - great cheerleader, but when one steps back and takes away ‘the look’ one can easily see a female Gomer Pyle. Really nice, down home character, but there is nothing behind the pretty mask and slogans, etc.
America is way too important to me to entrust her to a female version of Gomer Pyle.
On the other hand, if others decide that she’ll be the nominee, I’ll vote for her versus Obama but even my vote will not mean much at the end of the election. We would simply be screwed.
True, especially here but we didn’t win last time either.
All the identified candidates - we need to have a conversation.
Actually, I would not mind if she runs, I just hope she doesn’t run as she doesn’t add anything to the mix other than absolute conservative views with no real credibility. Resigning as Gov was the last straw and it’s been all down hill from that point, but at least profitable for the Palin family, big time and there’s nothing wrong with that.
What do you need to hear from Palin in the way of cutting the budget? ..... upsdriver
I think what 11th Commandment wants to hear is substance and not memorized talking points.
In regards to spending, 11th Commandment heard the memorized talking points but he wanted to know what she would do, specifically, in the Real World.
He never got an answer.
Memorized talking points aside, here is what she actually DID do.
As Mayor of Wasilla, spending rose 55%.
In her two years as Governor of Alaska, spending rose 31%.
In regards to Libya, all Sarah Palin has done is to support the initial lunacy of Obama in thinking that the U.S. can simply:
1.) Topple Gadhafi and then
2.) Cut & Run, so that
3.) The Democracy Fairy can then take care of things and everyone can live happily ever after.
What about the fact that, as military history dictates, only the forces with "boots on the ground" will be capable of securing the Victory and only al Qaeda has put the "boots on the ground" to secure Victory after Gadhafi falls?
Barack Obama never considered that when he blundered into Libya. (Which is why the sane heads in the Pentagon are now whispering "Stalemate, Mr. President" into his ear.)
In Sarah Palin's statement on Greta, she is still totally clueless.
This is Sarah Palin's statement on Greta regarding what she would do in Libya:
So what our president said at first, that our mission is to see Qaddafi go, he's got to go, but then we're told by one of his top advisers, the president's top advisers, saying, Well, no, really, Qaddafi is probably going to prevail on this. He's probably going to prevail over the opposition. And then our president changes the tune again, saying, Well, it's not our mission to oust Qaddafi. A lot of confusion. I would like to see, of course, as long as we're in it -- we better be in it to win it. And if there's doubt, we get out. Win it means Qaddafi goes and America gets to get on out of there and let the people of Libya create their own government, .... Sarah Palin
And who are the "boots on the ground" that will secure the final Victory in oil-rich Libya, thanks to U.S. air power, after "America gets to get on out of there", Governor Palin?
These guy:
Did Obama think about that when he first blundered into LIbya?
No.
Is Sarah Palin thinking about it right now?
No. She is still totally clueless about the strategic situation and, as 11th Commandment put it, "spouting rehearsed answers".
Is the United States in deep kimchi with either Barack Obama or Sarah Palin as Commander-in-Chief?
You betcha.
“Female Gomer Pyle?” Is that the best you can come up with?
Are you a Freeper?
And what is the strategic situation? I think Palin has a plain and simple take on it. This man is an enemy and removing him is a gain, plus a demonstration that you are still a player. If you are in the game then you have some control of events.
No.
When the most recent FOX News poll is available, I will then post THAT one. Ping me if you see it published before I do.
No matter how much the Palinistas worship and adore Sarah Palin in the Free Republic Echo Chamber, the facts of the Real World are that anybody with such toxic poll numbers has as much of a chance of being elected President as your mother's pet cat does.
The consequences of the 2012 election are deadly serious: Four more years of Barack Obama as President of the United States.
America may not be able to survive that.
Far too many Palin supporters are engaged in what is, in reality, an irrational, self-deluding, Cult of Personality in regards to Sarah Palin.
Since I have absolutely no desire to see Barack Obama reelected in 2012, I have taken it upon myself to keep putting doses of Reality into the Sarah Palin Kool-Aid.
That’s the only thing I see at this time. It something else comes up, I’ll let you know.
Here’s a clue - one cannot post here without being a Freeper! Are you implying something but saying nothing? Remember the rules!
Don’t bother.
True, she will lose. First, I like her - great cheerleader, but when one steps back and takes away the look one can easily see a female Gomer Pyle. Really nice, down home character, but there is nothing behind the pretty mask and slogans, etc.
Apparently her accomplishments as governor of Alaska have escaped your notice. Palin's grace and tenacity as she has been viciously attacked, ridiculed and mocked by the left (and a few Republican elitists) like no other politician in recent memory also fail to impress you. So be it - but she impresses the left because they haven't stopped attacking her since she burst on the national political scene as John McCain's Vice President pick in September, 2008. If Sarah Palin is, as you contend, without substance or posing any threat to the Democrat's chances of keeping Obama in the White House in 2012, they sure waste a lot of time and effort trying to undermine her. I find that telling, even if you chose to ignore it.
America is way too important to me to entrust her to a female version of Gomer Pyle.
Insulting nonsense with nothing substantive to back it up. You read like a poster on the DU sending the hundredth anti-Palin message that day to get your post count up.
On the other hand, if others decide that shell be the nominee, Ill vote for her versus Obama but even my vote will not mean much at the end of the election. We would simply be screwed.
Big of you to grudgingly cast a vote for the Republican nominee in a presidential election.
Since your opinion is that a Palin nomination would leave conservatives 'screwed' (I'll assume you mean Obama wins in '12) what non-RINO Republican candidate do you believe would defeat Obama? Responding with 'not Sarah Palin' is a lazy and unacceptable response.
If Sarah Palin is such a potential loser in your opinion, you must have a viable candidate in mind that you would prefer, unless you just like to leave negative comments on FR threads about Sarah Palin in the hope that you'll discourage those who support the only real conservative currently considered a potential candidate for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination and the one many people, believe can beat the inept, arrogant socialist, Barack Hussein Obama.
