I live in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia area. The Catholic schools are closing, the pews are half empty and the clergy are not trusted.I want to raise my child Catholic yet it seems the church is forsaking it's duties to believers.Luckily a new Islamic education center is right down our street.Things that seem impossible 10 years ago is the normal now. What America are we giving these kids.

“The whole faith revolves around forgiveness”

Forgiveness begins when a pedophile priests asks for forgiveness.

Many of these thousands of pedophile priests hide in the shadows until victims come forward.

The leaders in the church further the crimes by shuttling these child rapists from church to church and refusing to do anything about them until just a few years ago.

The majority of these priests are evil. They dwell in sin and steal innocence and their crimes are covered up by Bishops and Cardinals.

Priests are supposed to set the standard for the Catholic faithful. Are our sins absolved in confession if the priest is not in a state of grace? Is the sacrament of the Eucharist blasphemed by a priest who is a rapist?

You’re right. And wouldn’t an old fashioned auto da fe be suitable punishment, stakes, fire, and all? They are already accustomed to wearing black and in this case there are real devils to expunge.

Akron Priest arrested for OVI; jail cell rant caught on tape

Police in Brimfield Township released a video of Rev. Ignatius Kury, pastor of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Akron, in a profanity-filled rant from the holding cell where he was handcuffed to the wall.

In the video, Rev. Kury rails about being treated like Jeffrey Dahmer and he asks an officer if it will take a sex act to get him freed from the handcuffs.

Knarr said it's Kury's third OVI since 2004.

The Church is run by Progressives, they are more concerned with the helping the sinner rather than Protecting those who have been, or might be, sinned against.

If they figure out a way to do that they could use it for teachers and scout leaders too! I wonder if pedophiles have always gravitated towards these sorts of careers?

He said his first memories of the alleged sexual abuse came nine months ago as he struggled in therapy to understand why his marriage and life seemed to be falling apart.

Suspicious. Sounds more like someone who developed mental illness and is now looking for an outside, rather than physiological, cause. I hope this guy gets whatever treatment he needs and truth prevails. There have been too many recovered memory scams and even prosecutions.

Blame the victim right?

One of the four priests this man accused is already removed by the Church for other substantiated molestations and the other 3 priests have previous claims of molestation.

But, its the victim who is making this up? Disgusting.

I don’t remember exactly where between Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM there is a ‘special facility’ where clergy with sex issues go to get ‘rehabilitated’. Its all handled within the church. Creepy.

Our parish priest, Father Collins, was sent to NW to dry out. He had extra big cruets we had to refill during the 6 am mass. he was usually drunk by then and would give us wine in little wax cups until Sister smelled wine on our breathe, besides the fact we giggled during the entire mass.

They sent the priests to NM so if there was a law suit the very poor parish where they were sent would have to pay and the locals had no money. However, somebody fixed that which is why they had to sell all that property in Boston, despite having sent the fagots to poor parishes. They also figured nobody would care or complain about what happened to the poor mexican kids.

Just a couple thoughts on this topic: Do you really believe in this concept of repressed memory? I personally don’t think it’s possible to forget big things that happen in one’s life. I can forget the little insignificant happenings, but abuse is one thing I would NEVER forget and would even think about it every day. When I was in high school I once had a car approach me while I was walking home where the driver exposed himself. I have NEVER forgotten it and never will. So when someone comes forward and claims repressed memory I don’t accept it because I don’t believe in it. I don’t blame the victim. It’s too bad he didn’t come forward when it supposedly happened, especially since he had two devoted involved parents who could have made a difference. Unfortunately we’ll never know what happened or even if anything happened.

I can’t think of anything better than arranging there meeting with god sooner than later. Simply no place for them on Earth.

It’s odd to me that many religions turn a blind-eye or a hidden eye to this. I remember a Youth pastor at a previous Baptist church, who would care and support the young girls, all the way to 18 building up all the trust while they are early teenagers then once they were legal we found out all kinds of things happening to these girls. By the law it was legal, even though he was married with 5 kids of his own, but by principle any person can see he abused his place to get emotionally attached when they are their most vulnerable.
What did the church do... tried to hide it, kept is close to just the deacons... the youth pastor was also the son of the pastor...
So to support the flock, they hid it and made sure they sternly talked to the man, and made him take a job elsewhere...
What a wicked world we live in.
