(Al-Qaeda) Libyan Rebels Reclaim Oil Town Ajdabiya After Weeklong Siege
Fox News ^ | 3/26/2011 | fox news

Libyan rebels have overcome Muammar al-Qaddafi's forces in strategic oil town of Ajdabiya, seizing control of the city Saturday in a major turnaround for an uprising that appeared to be on the verge of defeat.

Libyan government forces pulled out from the city of Ajdabiya following an air assault by Western coalition forces, a senior government official told Reuters.

"Without the planes we couldn't have done this. Qaddafi's weapons are at a different level than ours," said Ahmed Faraj, 38, a rebel fighter from Ajdabiya. "With the help of the planes we are going to push onward to Tripoli, God willing."

Drivers honked in celebration and flew the tricolor rebel flag. Others in the city fired their guns into the air and danced on burned-out tanks that littered the road. Inside a building that had served as makeshift barracks for pro-Qaddafi forces, hastily discarded uniforms were piled on the floor.

Saif Sadawi, a 20-year-old rebel fighter with an RPG in his hands, says the city's eastern gate fell late Friday and the western gate fell at dawn Saturday after airstrikes on both those locations.

Ghadaffi turned over his WMD program, sat and rolled over for Bush. We have no right to regime change somebody who is playing by the rules.
I still want to know what this “loss of legitimacy” is , So there where some demonstrations. We had a Tea Party in DC for health care then over a million at the Beck Rally, 0 has lost legitimacy and must go.
oh yea he was always illegitimate.

This is not a mission to enforce a no fly zone. This is an aerial intervention in a civil war where foreign nations are bombing the ground forces of the official government troops and giving air cover for the rebels.

If this isn’t war, then WWII was not a war.

Lies. Lies. Lies. Lies. And nobody is calling these people on it. Truth is the first casualty of war. One more piece of evidence that America is embarking on another War. This time in northern Africa. We are mortgaging our children’s future to save Muslims while Muslims all over the world are engaged in wholesale genocide of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and Sikhs.

The genocide that will occur after we overthrow Ghadaffi will most likely pale in comparison to the alleged genocide that we are allegedly attempting to stop

Behold, a pale horse.

Thanks for inserting (Al-Qaeda) in the headline, otherwise the title is contradicted in the second line/paragragh.

Libyan rebels have overcome Muammar al-Qaddafi's forces...
...following an air assault by Western coalition forces

Without Barry's Bombing these "rebels would have nothing!

We're the airforce for a group we have no idea who they are.

There is something very fishy going on

Seems I read somewhere we have to bomb the h@!! out of Libya in order to clear the way for a no fly zone. So you see, it is not mission creep afterall.

I'm sorry I don't like the precedence this is setting, not just for us but for the world.

Who's next Israel? Will China join in on that one?

Or will they come bomb the "rebels" here when zero outlaws guns?

Who in the heck does he think he is?

I'm not one of those "Impeach the President" people. I was against the Clinton impeachment. I'm not even a into of impeaching Obama over going the war without congress (only because I dont know the law... one side says one thing the other says something else) I prefer that impeachment only be for stealing an election. But this NEEDS to be impeached if this is impeachable. Russia and China are right this time (this is not the America we know - Obama is UN-American or he thinks this is the way America is), this does NOT seem right.

Atleast in Vietnam we were protecting one nation from another. This is 100% involved in a nation's civil war and we have no idea who the people are we're sorties for.

He's insulting the intelligence of the American people telling us that this is enforcing a No Fly Zone. He's calling us all stupid.

Does Gadaffi know something that Obama doesn't want to get out in public? Or somebody else blackmail Obama about something?

If Obama can cross the line so far as is now what is he capable of doing here at home?

Who's next Israel?

Hamas is asking the UN to stop Israel from it's assaults on Gaza. So the answer is obvious, and this action clearly sets a precedent to use NATO, the UN, and the Arab League to launch an air war on Isreal and enforce a no fly zone to protect her enemies.

Behold, a pale horse.

He has been doing that, and getting away with it I may add, since the day he declared his candidacy for POTUS.

Does Gadaffi know something that Obama doesn't want to get out in public?

You know...that was my first thought as the bombing commenced. However, now that we know exactly who these "rebels" are, I am more of the opinion that Barry is assisting with the islamic takeover of yet another country.

This action is more closely related to the K'Toon's unapproved war in Kosovo. We go in and kill the Christians, or in this case the secular government, to pave the way for an islamist takeover/state.

Hmmmm, minus the bombs it may more closely resemble what Jimmuh did in Iran.

Regardless of the tactics, America has now directly intervened to overthrow secular governments, allowing for an islamic take-over.

If I were a candidate for President like Trump, Palin...etc.

The public question of the week on The View would be...

Does Gadaffi have your birth certificate or know what it says on it?

They just seemed a little too close earlier in his presidency. And it is on video where Gadaffi pretty much endorsed Obama.

There was story released by Fox thursday that just last month Obama requested $1.7 million increase to go to Gadaffi. If that story's true. why?

Was Obama being blackmailed?

there is only one that would have the fortitude to ask any such question.

Ha! You already answered as I dorked around getting coffee while writing my last reply to you.

If that story's true. why?

Why would you doubt the truthfulness of that story? It is well documented.

Was Obama being blackmailed?

What an excellent question. Was the increase approved? Maybe Daffi want more. Perhaps there was a disagreement between Barry and Daffi...like maybe Barry told him to lay of AQ and the MB?

So many questions and NO answers!

I was the one that posted it here actually:

Obama Requested $1.7 Million Increase To Qaddafi 1 Month before US Attack

I saw a comment but I guess I misunderstood it:

Stupid Fox News. Which is it? Did Ubama increase it BY 1.7 million or TO 1.7 million. Man, I can't wait till Beck starts his own network. 21 posted on Thursday, March 24, 2011 4:15:21 PM by Texas Eagle

I guess the question Texas Eagle had was about the amount of money.

Before when I saw "Stupid Fox News" I figured Fox jumped the gun and it was not a confirmed story yet. So, you're right. It's still true.

Fox and Friends was all over a humorous piece by Jay Leno. Jay made fun of Congress and then said something like, “No wonder Obama didn't want Congress’ advice.”

Then the F&F fill-ins parroted “...low ratings..why get Congress’ advice...?”

It is absolutely amazing that they both used the word “advice.”

The president doesn't get Congress’ advice. He gets their PERMISSION.

The media, including Fox News, is totally in the tank on this war.

“Who is the puppetmaster?” is the only question.

So, in Feb 2011 Obama requests an increase to $1.7 million for Gadaffi's military

A month later Obama's over there destroying it.
