England: The Next Middle Eastern Country to Fall?
Rational Public Radio ^ | 3/26/11 | Scott Connery

The nation of England has been rocked by protests earlier today. The attendance at the 3/26 "March for the Alternative" protest wildly exceeded expectations, and estimates range from 400,000-500,000 attendees.

While the march was short on exactly what the problem was, and what the solution was, they were united behind one central tenet. No more cuts! We want handouts!

They offered no mathematical explanation about how the fiscally troubled nation is supposed to deliver on that demand.

Devilish Marx knew that the revolution would break out in industrialized countries first. Somehow what he got wrong was that effete guilt ridden bourgeois admirers in the UK US German et al of Kropotkin Lenin mustafa kemal ad nauseum would ally themselves with hard core Marxists/nationalists/ to bring it to largely peasant societies first.

But a variation of his satanic ideology is playing itself out and has been for many years: Luxembourgism.

Brave New World redux.

They are marching because the gubmint ran out of other people’s money. The entrepreneuial spirit was crushed in Western Europe decades ago with the introduction of socialism.I saw a poll a few weeks ago that only 29% of Western Europeans polled thought that entrepreneuralism was an honorable activity while 51% of the US polled thought it was. The other 49% were Democrats
Although there are some conservative individualists over there, the masses are collectivist drones who will show up marching in the streets at the drop of a hat. With the exception of Germany, economic extinction for them is a generation or two down the road. And Obama, of course, wants to put the US on the same path

Today the UK next us. The communists conspiracy has consumed most of the power areas in America. We may never survive because praying will not cure the cancer.

“Today the UK next us. “

Nope!

The BIG difference between the UK and us, is we have guns.

“they were united behind one central tenet. No more cuts! We want handouts! They offered no mathematical explanation about how the fiscally troubled nation is supposed to deliver on that demand...They just want more money. How? That isn’t their concern. Like a mafia protection racket, they suggest you make your “monthly donation” or you just might find that your house burns down. Accidentally. Mysteriously...They hurled smoke bombs and light bulbs filled with ammonia at the unarmed police trying to contain them.”

There is only one way to deal with such animals...

I do think it’s time for REGIME CHANGE in England.

If half a million people turn out to protest, the existing regime has NO LEGITIMACY and NO RIGHT to hold on to power.

While I would prefer a peaceful transition, we must assure that a transition takes place, regardless.

haha great headline but in reality the violent ones are an extreme minority, and dare I say euro anarchists that have latched on to every protest in the UK over the past few years to cause trouble.

We have seen worse before and will do in the future, but there is no threat to Britain I assure you...

This is like feeding wild animals, you take away their natural instincts. They seem helpless and hungry and we think we can help them, by feeding. At first you feel good about “helping” that bear. Then, the bear has cubs, so you feed them. Then other bears figure they can get a free meal too. Before you know it, you have too many bears to feed. When you try to stop they kill you and eat you.

From the news reports I would be very tempted to declare a "free fire zone" on every hooded YOB engaging in active vandalism. The fact is that they feel empowered by police restraint.

It needs a fear of retribution to make the point that anarchy is anathema to a constitutional society! George Washington was sympathetic but unalterably opposed to the "Whisky Rebellion" when they adopted "Leveler" concepts against the new Constitution!

I would agree. The police in the US would not do what was necessary, but an armed citizenry could and should.

And if the police were stupid enough to intervene against the citizens exerting crowd control, then I think things would get really ugly.

In all seriousness, I have been predicting since Thanksgiving that an EU government is going to get overthrown this year.

I think Portugal, Ireland, Greece, and Belgium* are the most likely candidates.

(*Belgium has a serious chance of dissolving into two parts.)

As far as I understand it, the argument runs like this. The country needs public services in and of themselves, but in addition the millions of public sector workers are also vital to the economy because they spend their wages on goods and services which in turn keep the economy moving and provide more tax income to the government, which they can then use to close the balance of payments deficit.

What I've never heard anyone point out to these brain-surgeons is that all of the wages that public sector workers spend are coming from the public purse i.e. from taxation, so in effect what they are proposing is that the country picks itself up by its own bootlaces.

Everyone is clear on what the problem is, but the unions and the public sector workers don't want the solution to involve any sacrifice on their part. They are putting all their trust in "growth", but again, what no one ever points out to them is that to fill the deficit would require astronomical growth rates that British manufacturing and service companies (you know, the people who actually make REAL money) are just not capable of doing any more.
