Then I suppose that Texans need to start to realize that the (R) next to some of their names means Replace and not Retain.
Texas does not need toll roads, the influx of “fiscal immigrants” from the rust belt and other economically ravaged areas of the country should provide the funds to maintain and improve our state highways. IF the legislature and the highway department do a proper and diligent job of managing the funds that are TAKEN from the taxpayers.
And that is the heart of the matter, State government needs to be frugal with our money.

And yes, the (R) does mean replace. Unfortunately my rep has a (D) next to his name, which means “DISCARD” in my book.
