LOL! That was absolutely hilarious! A bunch of lib union teachers whining that they can’t control classrooms.....bwahahaha. No respect from 8th graders....LOL. Hell I wouldn’t respect those idiots either. Thanks for the link.
My wife quit teaching a couple of years ago. Several reasons, but lack of support of administration was one - she would discipline the kid, parents would complain, and she would be forced to let the little sweethearts back in class. Thus, no discipline. Can’t blame it all on the teachers, although a lot of them don’t really care if they are in control of the classroom. She also got tired of working hard to educate kids, then sending them up to teachers who didn’t really care if the kids learned or not.
I teach and have had to literally pull kids off of my principal and yet she refuses to press charges. A couple of years ago a teacher in my district miscarried at 3 months when a kid punched her in the stomach. The kids know that we can’t do anything to them, and the parents of these kids have the same poor attitude about learning that the kids have.
In most municipalities, it is against the law to carry on school campuses and other public buildings.
The teacher is writing the kid up on a district discipline form. S/he has no say as to whether the admin, suspends/disciplines the kid. If the kid is suspended the district [school system] is not paid Federal funds...only paid for the body count [daily attendance] of students. Relisten to the vid.
A couple of decades ago, you used to be able to get a hold of the parent; parent would back you up and discipline the kid.
Today, you cannot get a hold of the parent; when you do, you are yelled by the parent for being a racist. *My precious snowflake never does that*. Dads are not in the picture. Mom is in jail.
In parochial school, they would kick you out, if problems were not resolved. In public school you must take EVERYONE, regardless. It’s the law.
If state and federal funding were instead dependent upon the number of students who achieve at least minimal proficiency, then the financial incentive would be to kick out those students who disrupt the education of others.
Having attended school events in which my grandchildren were involved, the students were noisy and unruly when the Principals didn't enforce discipline. I was shocked at the difference in behavior in differing school districts.
The disciplined school district's children performed at a much higher level academically as well in extracurricular activities. It was very apparent which was which.
Very good suggestion.
Administrators [earning six-figures] are afraid of the children/parents and they do not do their jobs. Rarely do they get their *hands dirty* and follow procedure or even have a procedure. Kids [of all ages] need consistency and boundaries.
Most of the kids are not raised in what *we* would call a 2-parent household. Most of these kids are surrounded by crime and criminals. Most of these kids are being raised by felons and criminals.
That is a sad commentary. I like the idea of one of our Freepers. . . success equals money, money sent to schools should not be based on attendance.
Sadly, our tax dollars and being wasted on Title 1 monies doled out by the government and based on poverty guidelines. It helps of have tons on poor families in your district. Keep them poor.
I would venture to guess no one is auditing how these funds are used.
