PITTSBURGH -- Two Mexican nationals were set to plead guilty in Pittsburgh to a federal grand jury indictment charging them with possessing nearly $38,700 in counterfeit $100 bills.
The U.S. Secret Service took over the case after local police arrested the man on charges they passed some of the bills in October at a Macy's story in North Franklin Township, Washington County.
Alejandro Ceron, 31, and Israel Sanchez, 23, both gave Brooklyn, N.Y., addresses but authorities said both men also had Mexican identification cards.
Police said at least two of the $100 bills had the same serial number. Still, authorities say the bills looked real otherwise, and a marking pen used to detect counterfeit money didn't work on the bills.

How do you possess "nearly" $38,700 in counterfeit $100 bills? Does that mean you have 387 counterfeit $100 bills, but a couple of them are torn?

I guess $38,600 is “nearly” $38,700.

and a marking pen used to detect counterfeit money didn't work on the bills. That's interesting.

But the liberals, George Bush and John McCain keep telling us that they are here to work.
Well, I guess they are working, working at their criminal enterprises under the protection of the political elite.

It is said AquaNet hairspray will fool the pens every time.

....marking pen used to detect counterfeit money didn't work ...I guess America has forgotten about that blind news stand guy in the 1930's movies who could always tell funny money, not to mention the Chinese Laundry Guy. Where are these useful people when we need them?
