How To Ruin The FBI
IBD Editorials ^ | March 28, 2011 | Staff

National Security: Come September, FBI director Robert Mueller will step down after a decade's salutary service. Washington, predictably, is abuzz with names of potential successors, one of them outrageous.

President Obama should go for continuity. Mueller was sworn in as President George W. Bush's choice just a week before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. That the nation has not been stricken by any attacks so massive is testament to the outgoing director's remarkable counterterrorist achievements.

The record is not entirely unblemished. But Mueller and his counterterrorism team have stopped thousands of jihadist plots, an astonishing string of victories. And he has done so with sensitivity to civil liberties.

Whereas Mueller showed his ability to fine-tune, other federal law-enforcement figures have demonstrated a disastrous propensity to oversensitivity. The most infamous is Jamie Gorelick.

The fact Obama would consider this person for ANY high-level position in his administration is proof positive, for me at least, of how totally incompetent, out of touch and in over his head he is.

Her only contact with the FBI should be as a suspect. The damage she has done to America is incalculable.

Watch for a recess appointment to avoid the Senate approval process. If by some miracle she does have to undergo Senate questioning let's hope at least one Republican has the brass to take her on.

And isn’t it touching that Gorelick made many millions while being a destructive leech on the country?

Gorelick does not have a chance of being confirmed.
The only point of floating her name is to make the actual pick seem more reasonable.

The most infamous isJamie Gorelick.

That *W*itch should be siting in a Federal Prison for the scam she pulled with Franklin Raines at Fannie Mae. In any case she should be the LAST person considered to run anything, let alone the FBI. At best she's an anti-American leftist and at the least, a commie-pinko.

Jamie Gorelick;
'Charitable Work and Community Involvement' (cough - Bullsht)

Gorelick has served on the boards of:

All of those Groups are anti-American Leftists but that last place is a reeeeeal winner:
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
The Carnegie Endowment now has operations in several countries, with headquarters in Moscow, Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, and Washington, D.C..

Presidents: Alger Hiss (1946–49)

Oh and Jamie was also the Council for Duke University when the INNOCENT Lacrosse team members sued Duke.
Obama may as well call up some of his old buddies from the KGB and see if any of them would like the job!

Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick and Fannie Mae
Radio Report | October 3, 2008 | self
FR Posted 10/03/2008 by The_Media_never_lie Ms. Gorelick worked for Fannie may at a salary of a little over $500,000 and left with $26,000,000 in bonuses. The bio on her website says she was Vice Chair of Fannie Mae from 1997 to 2003. Now that we know what a mess F/M became----how did Gorelick get a $26 million dollar bonus?

Federal regulator Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight released a damning report on accounting irregularities at mortgage finance giant Fannie Mae. One critical finding was that in 1998, Fannie misstated expenses in order to meet earnings targets that triggered huge executive bonuses.

1998 Senior Fannie Mae Executive Officers---Title--Awards AND Bonuses

James A. Johnson Chairman and CEO $966,000 $1,932,000

Franklin D. Raines Chairman and CEO Designate $526,154 $1,109,589

Lawrence M. Small President and COO $783,839 $1,108,259

Jamie Gorelick Vice-Chairman $567,000 $779,625

J. Timothy Howard EVP and CFO $395,000 $493,750

Robert J. Levin EVP, Housing and Comm. Develop. $395,000 $493,750

===============================================

RAINES COOKED THE F/M BOOKS---WALKED AWAY A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE After Raines was fired and exposed as a fraudster for cooking the govt books, Raines walked away w/ $4.87 million in special performance shares, AN ADDITIONAL $90 million dollars, AND a $26 million platinum parachute, PLUS Raines gets a MONTHLY pension of $116,300 for life.

By cooking the books, Raines had already collected $4.87 million in special performance shares. Raines owns options giving him $5.8 million in net profit after redemptions, plus another $8.7 million in deferred compensation for six years at the F/M helm.

Raines keeps $5 million of paid-up life insurance. He and his spouse get free medical and dental benefits for life, worth over $1 million. Raines earned $20 million in salary, bonuses and stock awards (that we know of) in one year.

After he was fired, Raines told the F/M board that he's entitled to get paychecks until June 22 giving him another $600,000, which triggers a $2,000 monthly raise in his lifetime pension. He also said he's entitled to disputed options with a gross value of about $5.6 million. To keep Raines happy within philanthropic circles, Fannie Mae will match Raines' charitable contributions by $10,000 a year.

Are there any headhunters who can get me a job that will pay me 2.8 million to destroy their company?

Maybe Rahm would hire me ;-)
