Liberty Lost

Posted on 03/29/2011 10:44:45 PM PDT by jongaltsr

Recently, HR 1006, was created which is a statement of support for the 10th amendment to the Constitution.

While we agree that Congress should respect the 10th amendment and states’ rights, it is disquieting to think that Congress actually needs to pass a bill that is a show of support for any part of the Constitution.

Shouldn’t Congress respect all parts of the Constitution? Shouldn’t it always be “We the People” and WE start asserting our 9th and 10th amendment rights.

We were very lucky to be ahead of the curve on these issues 40 or 50 years ago – but now no longer have the courage and vision of a free people in a free nation.

When (IF) states and individuals (Not legislatures) get the courage to stand up to Uncle Sam, our liberty may survive. If, however, the federal government continues, under Republican and Democratic administrations, to grow at an exponential rate while progressively violating more and more of the Constitution - we are doomed.

It is up to the citizens, the grassroots activists, to get involved and stay involved while recruiting and educating new activists and us. We MUST be more informed political consumers.

We must learn (as well as understand) the Constitution and hold our elected officials accountable to it. We must ask questions our elected officials and demand constitutional compliance on and all legislation they propose and on which they vote.

Most importantly, we need to elect people to our States Houses that know and comprehend the consequences of the Constitution and appreciate the 9th and 10th amendments to the Constitution. The State Houses are often overlooked as a check to the federal governments ability to overstep it’s Constitutional bounds.

Money and power are on the side of those who will tear asunder. Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, Communists and Fascists all understand this principal and have not only provided for but have instituted institutions, which will support their causes.

The rest of us who believe in individualism, freedom and liberty have done nothing but watch their build their institutions while we stand on principals, which have absolutely no meaning in their world.

We haven’t the will to fight.

We still believe in the power of the ballot box, which “They” know that they can buy with enough money and repetition of lies.

We will just have to learn the hard way and when it comes to that way you will never regain what you have lost except to fight. Something you should have done in the first place. Now you will have to expend 1,000 or more time the amount of lives to regain what you once had.

Learn about the difference of presumption between administrative and natural law.

We MUST be more informed political consumers.

No, no, no.

No "we."

No "consumers."

Only single natural persons, beholden to no group. "We the People" does not indicate a corporate body requiring loyalty and obedience and groupthink behavior. It is a term that relates to all of those single natural persons who enjoy natural or negative rights.

The difference between slavery and freedom is in these details.

Thanks to the rats, our nation is on purposeful autopilot to destruction.

When the civil society is no more, the masses will demand the pols “do something” to restore order.

When ten dollars won’t buy a can of soup, the “do something” will not be a return to constitutional freedoms. As a people, we are way too debauched for that.

We are close to strongman government now; the coming crisis will finally kill the constitution.

Sorry.
